No. Again, appellate courts are not the trier of fact, they review the law as applied. It is very, very rare for an appellate court to set aside a jury's finding. And in this case, the jury did the sentencing.

I try not to "unfriend" anyone on social media no matter how much I disagree with their posts, as I like to keep a pulse on how everyone across the spectrum thinks. I saw a lot on my feed from friends regarding George Floyd, Kyle Rittenhouse, etc. For this case? Crickets.

Outside of the grifters and crazies posted in this thread, I'm really not seeing the public, black or otherwise, care about KA. All of the "public outrage" clips being shared are of the same two dozen people that were standing outside the courthouse, and they were gone home before the sun went down.

I've had multiple people from my high school, mostly black, comment on this and how unjust it is.

My girlfriend had no idea about the incident or the trial, nor did my fishing buddy. Only one facebook friend commented on it and he is a retired east texas police captain.

If you are too stupid or lazy to bother to do even minimal research on indisputable facts on the case (you can Google easily to find out that the jury was not all white, it just didnt have any black apologists on it) before spouting your legal opinion, then there really is no helping you.

I would be mad if I was as stupid as these people too.

Like I have said many times before, the reporting has been all over the place on that. Hence, "still unclear to me." Someone filed that in pauperis form for him as he sits in county lock up.
