I know some democrats who voted Cornyn in the Republican primary. They just didn't want Paxton to win the General. They will not vote Cornyn in the General obviously.

This polling site is a joke.

I found the X post, which provides zero specifics. I cannot find any details of this poll on their website, which leads me to question who are the "Cornyn Voters"? Are they true Cornyn supporters who would actually vote for Cornyn in the general against Talarico, but vote would for Talarico over Paxton? The poll style makes it seem like these are the voters that they are talking about.

If so, this group of voters would have to be certifiably insane, vengeful and extremely petty to actually vote for Talarico. (I doubt there are many Republicans who actually fit this description, but some may stay home or not vote).


Or do they lump in the Democrats who just voted in the primary for Cornyn ("Cornyn Voters"). These Democrats would never actually vote for Cornyn in the general. So it looks very likely that this poll is intentionally misleading, to scare/blackmail Republicans into voting for Cornyn in the primary.

Why in the world would Democrats care enough to come vote in the Republican primary? Especially for Cornyn?

If Dems truly thought that Paxton was beatable by Talarico, they would have VOTED FOR PAXTON AGAINST CORNYN.
I believe its because they know a Republican is going to win the general, and MUCH prefer RINO Cornyn over Paxton.

But, Talarico would be completely antithetical to ANYTHING the Republicans want..

I'm truly curious why people think that Talarico is truly a threat to the Rs holding the seat if Paxton wins? His closest win for AG was 3.5% in 2018. He won in 2022 by 10%. Why is there this massive belief that all of a suddenly he is going to lose?

If these people truly had a problem with Paxton's personal life, why the hell did Trump win Texas by 14% in 2024 given the additional bad press that came out against him from 2020-2024?

Squishy RINOS want Cornyn, Talarico, and Paxton in that order.
