The White House is ramping up its fertility campaign. In February, the President signed an EO that expanded access to IVF with a promise to "advance IVF and help American families with the associated costs so American families can have more babies."

I am so proud to have a president that wants to see babies live and supports American families. The American family is back as a top priority with Donald Trump at the helm.

Wife and I are going through IVF right now. Haven't seen one bit of relief. Hopefully it'll come for future parents.

Should only apply to married couples to foster the nuclear family but I know that would just create a marriage and divorce boom and bust.

But yes, I am 100% against this. Federal Government needs to stay in its effing lane.

This is a great idea, honestly. We can't have a negative population decline or the country will die off.

We need young people to have an economy. We need free childcare for everyone IMO. It should not cost everyone 2k a month for a daycare when we have public schools already. I'm not exactly sure how we address this, but it can't be harder to have and support your kids than being single and just living YOLO.

We don't need more single parent households.

You only get paid for being oppressed to follow through with the consequences of that sex.

We need to incentivize having children (especially in two parent households), but how on earth do we pay for this?

Existing entitlement structures are out of control.

As a society, if we can't afford our kids (and many can't) then why have them? But who will take care of the adults when they get old? Who will drive our economy if we don't enough kids to backfill jobs and spend their income? Old people don't spend when they retire like the young working class does. It is a world wide problem that America has never addressed properly.

I don't know if free is the right way, but we can't punish people economically for having kids when it is necessary for our future.

It's just a terrible idea if one check for $5k incentivizes a family to have an extra child then you probably can't afford that child

This was not a problem when one parent was a tay at home (traditional the mother). There was need for daycare.

People's desire for the accumulation of material objects and status have shifted priorities away from family.

If people can't buy afford to buy more stuff because of having to spend time with kids instead of working, and having to pay for the kids, they'd rather not have them.

And the decline in birth rates is due to high population densities. Government can't fix it unless they somehow reduce the population density of big cities. That's not going to happen.

We thought we couldn't have children and then had what felt like a miracle baby during the pandemic. She is my world and I would never take anything back, but I CONSTANTLY worry about the world she is going to inherit. I worry that American culture will be completely rotted out and unfixable in a decade plus. My concern for the economy or fiscal matters is a very distant second to compared to waging cultural war against the godless petulant hate fueled left...who is completely obsessed with poisoning the minds of our children.

In the blink of an eye without hesitation, I would put all liberals in humane internment camps and mental asylums if I had absolute power. Just to save my daughter and others like her.

It's probably a worthy government benefit. The problem is who is going to pay for it? We all know the answer - these babies, born of a government incentive, will pay for it in the form of reduced future benefits, higher taxes, or both. And to make it personal to myself, my seven grandchildren, ages 4 weeks to 6 years, and their parents (late twenties) will pay for it. I might even pay for it as I expect that eventually they will tax more of the social security benefits and restrict Medicare both of which I will finally qualify for in about 6 years.

The birth control industry deserves more scrutiny. Putting 15 year old girls on birth control pills for 20+ years until they feel like they're ready to have a kid can't be helpful.

I hired a young girl at my law office who was an absolute, tried and true, piss and vinegar, miserable liberal. A pretty girl, but took no efforts to look presentable, bad hygiene like most liberal females (bad breath, etc), just didn't care. She was so freaking pissed off at the new abortion laws, that she went and got a hysterectomy so that she wouldn't be forced to carry a baby to term. It was more of a political statement than it was a legitimate concern. This is what happens when liberalism becomes your god.

The thought of menstrual cycle education in 2025 is a little funny. How did women ever know how to have babies before they got their menstrual cycle certifications? Maybe the less we know, the better. Get married young and have sex with your spouse is tried and true.

After the 2 World Wars, and the loss of so many young lives, the Labor Party in the UK pushed through something similar in nature.

When the population rebounded and the various governments attempted to remove the "bonus" they were met with hostility from the public and to this day it still remains. In fact the Labor party has added other benefits as recently as 2009.

This is just flat out stupidity for our government to do this. Holy hell we can be stupid.
