Well, that depends on one's perspective.

If a mob descended on an ice facilitiy or federal courthouse waving foreign flags and attempted to assault it or take it over like the summer of 2020, one could very much come to the conclusion of an insurrection in progress.

700 marines isn't enough. Need more and they need to bring their tanks and armored vehicles with them. Make it absolutely clear any attempt to harm military personnel or vandalize military equipment will be dealt with lethally until the threat is neutralized.

So Gavin and the mayor aren't keeping the feds from doing their jobs? I ask because I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to get arrested if they crossed a line or stopped the feds or who knows what. Sorry, but i haven't paid much attention to this whole ordeal. It's on off-season for elections, and, well, it's LA, so it's not like violence is anything new.

Also, from my experience, a TON of the fringey right-winged types on social media come across as bots. You can often tell by simply going to their page. Wouldn't be surprised if China or Russia heavily involved. They could deploy millions of bots and probably do.

Yep. Also, our fringe is tiny-to-non-existent compared to theirs. Theirs is mainstream...top to bottom. I have educated successful liberals from Memorial area of Houston on my IG feed goaltending for them...just like they did for the riots in honor of the violent pregnant woman robber who OD'd on enough fent to kill an elephant.

It's like they reflexively adopt any stance that is counter to that of normal every day decent Americans...out of hatred and spite for one man and his administration and voters. Bold strategy.

Most normal every day Americans see these riots and they are terrified at the prospect of it ever coming to their areas.


The dissident right is no longer fringe anymore. It dominates the discourse of X by a huge margin. We don't riot, but make no mistake we are not fringe at all.
I am talking about neo-nazi types. Not people tired of the left winged BS.

Also, from my experience, a TON of the fringey right-winged types on social media come across as bots. You can often tell by simply going to their page. Wouldn't be surprised if China or Russia heavily involved. They could deploy millions of bots and probably do.


The bots are always obvious and usually Indian in origin. They have little influence in the discourse. The bot excuse for the dissident right is a pure left wing talking point.

Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit but not even the wise Latina or KBJ could misunderstand the law.

"Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, **and** use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion."

"Whenever the President considers it necessary to use the militia or the armed forces under this chapter, he shall, by proclamation, immediately order the insurgents to disperse and retire peaceably to their abodes within a limited time."

Why Marines?

"...and such other duties as the President may direct."
