Not only that, the Dem states are already gerrymandered to the hilt. They're not going to squeeze much more blood out of existing maps.
Clarification: I should have said the entirety of the redistricting portion of Section 2. No one is suing to abolish all of Section 2.

Governor Josh Stein (D) CANNOT veto the map.
KEEP PUSHING. pic.twitter.com/SfIb3Bsa5p
I'm skeptical of CaliforniaDems picking up 4 seats. They were already so heavily gerrymandered that the only way to achieve this is to cut their margin of victory to the bone in some districts.will25u said:Redistricting

OH-9 gets redder but currently has a Democrat incumbent.
OH-1 is now a toss-up but currently has a Democrat incumbent.
OH-13, which the GOP only lost by two points in 2024, gets bluer, cementing the Democrat incumbent.
It's a surrender map. https://t.co/zoosOA9jee

They had to use the race card.
It's their favorite one to play...

It's relying on section 2 of the voting rights act that's about to be declared unconstitutional in a case before SCOTUS.
This will be a moot point soon

Is this the same judge Jeff Brown that was on the Texas Supreme Court? He is far from being a liberal.
