Her experience was activism. She's trying to use activist tactics to administrate and they are entirely wrong for that type of work.

if you look at the numbers, it was not beto that won her the election. it was moron libertarians mad about the astrodome that thought the astrodome was some majorly important deal. they voted for the libertarian candidate instead of ed emmett and his margin of loss was that number that wasted their vote on libertarian.
if there was ever a race to show why voting third party is not just some cool protest, its that one.

Someone will cry racism.
Never mind that there are many, many reasons why Lina was never fit to be the judge. She's not fit to be a County Judge in Austin County, much less Harris County.

I think mealer was a decent candidate. Not sure about the support she received from the party, bit there were definitely shenanigans at the polling places.

Yep. And the lackey was busted but the results remained.
Democrats are tireless cheaters.

This is what the Dem party is now. Leftist loudmouths who screech over anyone trying to have a civil conversation, who crave power to grift under the guise of helping people, make constant claims of democracy being under threat despite being the ones that threaten it, and who hate America. Instead of running from it, you have national Dems embracing the likes of Mamdani, Crockett, AOC, and others.

Does anybody have any experience in an elected official in Texas being removed? How easy or hard is it to remove someone? I can remember people resigning but I can't remember someone being removed but I don't pay that close attention outside of my own county and places I work so I probably just missed it.

I'm loving it! Harris County voters are getting everything they deserve for electing her dumb ass twice!
I'll never understand this. She won by 2% points. A very significant % of good people in Houston and the red Harris County suburbs did NOT vote for her. This isn't some deep blue coastal place where she won in a crushing landslide. Almost half of Harris County DOES NOT deserve this.

I guess nobody has told her that it's up to the 4 Commissioners to vote yay or nay. The county judge is only supposed to vote as a tie breaker if the commissioners vote 2-2

SIAP, I didn't read all five pages, but this is not true.

Clean the voter rolls and I bet Rs can take Harris county back, even with the fleeing of Rs to surrounding counties, Harris is still close

I'm a mandatory reporter of child neglect and abuse and what I saw was beyond inappropriate and not in line with what the law allows for daycare field trips. I found that adults who were there are extremely upset and emotionally affected by what they saw so I cannot imagine what's going on with those kids. Im not naming my sources but I learned that a child went missing during that chaos and I learned that Lina Hidalgo approached these facilities and asked them to bring these children for her to use as pawns in political theater. I reported all of this to DFPS as I had no choice but to do so. I'm pissed at the daycare owners who did this and they are in violation of the law, I'm very disappointed in Judge Hidalgo and I hope she understands that she has likely put these daycares in jeopardy of losing their licenses for participating in this stunt.
