What has been striking to me is the amount of whataboutism the left is using to dismiss conservatives sadness and outrage over Kirk's assassination. I have gotten out of the habit of watching Mark Halperin's Morning Meeting with Sean Spicer and Dan Turrentine but started watching again after Kirk was killed.
Spicer was very upset because he has known Charlie for many years. Halperin had just had Charlie on one of his other shows the day before he was murdered. Halperin really tries to be a moderate but even he was struggling with the whataboutism. Dan Turrentine (normally a weasel faced "moderate Dem) was much less so.

Perhaps the biggest contrast between liberals and conservatives is their personal capacity to hate. It is not true of all of them, but a large percentage.
I am an old guy, and I can't remember ever knowing a conservative who displays or states hate for anyone. Most take their Christian religion very seriously, or at least the principles on which our country was established.
I can't say the same for liberal friends and acquaintances. I assume it is because most liberals are more emotional than conservatives and tend to respond that way. And most seem to be comfortable with departure from our country's founding principles in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
