Comey clearly thought he could get away with inciting violence against President Trump and when he got caught, he promptly took the post down. Dude needs to suffer in a jail cell for the rest of his life, along with anyone else who tried to prosecute or take a dig at Trump in the past.

Mr Comey, do you think the President is a coffee order? Do you think he's some kind of future shipment?

If this guy ever becomes President, I am in trouble because I always ask to 86 Mayo at the deli

Did Comey work at a deli? Why is that weird deflection seemingly a reasonable excuse to you?

I've never heard anyone say "Hold the Trump." Because no one has ever said such a thing.

There needs to be a docu series that does a deep dive on the Brennan/Comey plot to frame a sitting POTUS for treason.

Plus the term or symbol 86 is on every player in the NFL along with 47 if those 2 are standing side by side are they suggesting something?

That's not going to work. Comey, as Director of the FBI, is not going to claim "oopsie, had no idea it was a bad thing". In fact, scuttle is the evidence includes confirmation he had very clear understanding of what "86" referred to.

86-ing mayo at the deli has context that clearly infers non violent meaning. HTH.

Of course he did.

Every law enforcement officer on the planet knows what 86 is code for.

And this guy was literally the head of the FBI.

He knew exactly what it meant. He's such a smug piece of crap.

Of course he knew what he was doing. But none of us know. We can speculate, but none of us actually know what his intent and his thinking was. 86 is a slang term with a range of contextual meanings.

The Trump - Bondi - Blanche - Patel DOJ's prosecution team investigated this for almost a year, so presumably they found something resembling actual real evidence to support an indictment. If they didn't, then Turley's analysis will be spot on. We'll all have to wait and see.

His intent was to get everyone to look at him, and it worked. If he thought he were posting "hold the mayo," he wouldn't have bothered posting at all. Claiming he could have meant anything is ridiculous, and only a bootlocker would try to convince others of that (and I don't believe you are trying to do that because you don't believe it yourself).

They won't be able to prove his intent in court. I just hope his civil rights are trampled all over and he is treated cruelly and unusually. He has earned it.

Again, we simply do not know. "86" could mean remove Trump from office via impeachment or via the 25th Amendment. Or Comey could have meant any of a number of other harmless things like "toss Trump in the garbage". Your wishes for the DOJ / LE to commit lawless abuses of power against Comey is apparently shared by Trump. I hope the DOJ and LE do not do that. It would be bad for our country.

The country survived Trump's rights being trampled and he committed no crimes.

Burn Comey to the ground. He's a criminal traitor.

I wonder if Comey will stick to his lie in court about just randomly finding the sea shells placed that way.

That doesn't sound very Constitutional. Comey will get due process. Blanche is supposed to be a very competent attorney, so presumably he wouldn't have allowed this case to go forward or placed his stamp of approval on it unless the DOJ has a substantial amount of evidence. Like everyone, I'm curious to see what they have.

First, I am not aware that Comey said anything about randomly finding the sea shells. His tweet says he found then on his walk. Are you saying he did not find them?

Second, Comey doesn't have to say anything in court. Not only is it not going to get that far, but it is prosecution's job to prove everything. Comey has nothing to prove. This is simply a vanity prosecution to please Trump.

I carefully studied Comey's Congressional appearances in 2017 before Trump s***canned him.

As Ron White has said Comey has the right to remain silent but he lacks the ability.

Hubris, arrogance, whatever is Comey's deal he just can't resist hearing himself talk to only make his ears wiggle. Guy cannot help himself. He has to add embellishment after embellishment. And any good trial attorney knows that is the one thing you never want your own witness to do.

So considering Comey's talkative propensity, his propensity to lie, is the bet here that Comey will f*** up during the process and commit perjury...provable perjury of a material fact? Something that was found in the "burn bags" hidden at the FBI? Pure speculation on my part but that would make some sense to me.

We do know. He just didn't think he'd get his ass in a sling. Glad he is at least being hassled. His life should be ruined like Flynn's was, but hopefully this process will be extremely unpleasant. At least people can see what a pompous ****head he is now.

He's a pompous ass that thinks he's untouchable. He's teasing everyone and daring them to do something so he can cry victim and pivot things back on him. It's transparent and sad. He needs to rot in a cell.

Shipwreckedcrew who is a criminal defense lawyer and has pretty good level headed takes really thinks there is no way this doesn't go to trial.

I also read or head other lawyers state that it doesn't matter if the common person would know 86 47 meant or not. And have to prove that Comey knew and sent it anyway. That is what the DOJ will have to prove.

They got his cell phone and other things.

I feel this case is kinda weak sauce in the sense that this is probably not something that they needed to try on Comey. And for that reason, I really hope they have smoking gun evidence that he knew what it meant.

He was a lifelong Republican before he was fired. During his time as FBI Director he sometimes came across as a bit of a goose. Let's see what evidence the DOJ has with regard to establishing intent.

Just a few days after trying to kill him again, leftist are back on their "Trump abuse of power", "Comey was totes innocent when he sent the picture, meant to cut the mayo" then in the next breath "Trump has turned us into Russia sending Comey off to gulags and the gays off to camps".

Never change libs, never change. Because if you keep it up, it's going to not turn out so well for you.

Remember, they had to splice together and edit Trump's speech to say he incited the darkest day in world history because some granny went outside a velvet rope and a guy pooped on Pelosi's desk (probably was left over from last time DePape and Paul were part of the gar porno filming at the Capitol the libs are known for).

But Comey… he was talking about editing a movie or invoking the 25th. Nothing to see here.
