but actually, this year was better than the previous few years- I didn't see any HAMAS supporters take over parts of the parade unlike in past years.

also, there were a few COUNTRY WESTERN acts they had which were patriotic/conservative.

and the marching bands were great.

My daughter was in the parade yesterday with the Spirit of America Dance Stars with her Boerne High team. It was a surreal experience for her and my wife who attended as well. My wife has always tuned in for the whole show and really only cares about the balloon, floats and Rockettes. The show I watched yesterday didn't really seem woke although the screaming piped in native tribal war stuff with the overdressed native group did feel very over the top and contrived.

The grandkids were over and wanted to watch it. They were excited about some pirate ship float. I watched it for 5 seconds and the dancers were acting like they were spanking.

I have never been one for sitting and watching people in costumes or decorated floats or bands or anything marching along the streets of a city. I don't see the attraction to that stuff. Looks as if I was correct to use my time for something other than this parade!

I found a compilation video a few years ago. There was one clip where there was a compounding cascade of failures for the coyote. Something ACME breaks, he goes over a cliff, a spring launches him back in the air, etc.

At the end he improbably survives, lands on his feet unharmed. Then he starts to walk off and is immediately hit by a truck.

I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time.

On a different note, the animated/live action "Coyote Vs ACME" is supposed to be finally released next year after years in financial/legal limbo.

The show folk always mess everything up.

Acme was the forerunner for Amazon. Wile E could seemingly buy anything from Acme and have it in hand within a matter of hours.

It's good but maybe the parade is outdated. I wouldn't be surprised if the canceled it soon.

Media and people in charge of evets used to take care to keep them age appropriate and keep politics out. They don't do that anymore, which is what bothers a lot of conservatives. We should realize these are no longer designed for families and find an alternative. It sucks, but watching Charlie Brown or something else while adults prepare food is just as good.
