11 interviews…

now every single Cabinet Member has come out with their own public Twitter statement praising Susie Wiles-

coincidentally within a few minutes of each other.

seriously what is happening here?!?!

Why are Trump Administration officials talking with Vanity Fair for a year and having their photos taken like they are a Hollywood movie star?!?!

Washington is Hollywood for ugly people. Everything you see is scripted.

MTG didn't follow the script and now she's "stepping down".

So what does she mean by having "an alcoholic's personality"?

I would have thought Wiles would have more sense than giving some Trump hating rag an interview.

Really bad judgement on her part.

1) As for an alcoholic personality, it takes one to know one.

2) If the WH chief of staff gave 11 interviews and didn't see this coming, she is a little naive.

Anyways, Wiles fan here.

Her dad was an admitted alcoholic.

Seriously, what the hell was Wiles thinking?

she is a multi millionaire who lives in Ponte Vedra (I used to vacation there and it is all million dollar mansions south of Jax) and has spent decades in politics- but suddenly doesn't realize VANITY FAIR is going to savage Trump for everything she says?!?!!

what the hell is going on with the White House the past few weeks?!?

Wiles states that:

- Donald Trump is in the Epstein Files
- JD Vance is a "Conspiracy Theorist"
- Pam Bondi "whiffed on Epstein"
- Russ Vought is a "right-wing zealot"
- Elon Musk is an "avowed ketamine user"

Also in the interview she said:

- told Trump not to pardon the most violent Jan 6 rioters! He basically ignore you

- tried to convince Trump to stop "score setting" against political enemies after 90 days! You fail because he was desirous for retribution!

- You contradicted Donald Trump's claim about Bill Clinton, stating "no evidence" that Clinton visited Epstein's private island!

- You defended USAID: "anyone who has paid attention to government knows they do very good work!

- You said that the administration needed to "look harder" at deportation to avoid mistakes!

- you referenced 2 mothers who were arrested with their children: "i can't understand how you make that mistake but somebody did.

- You failed to stop Trump to delay major tariffs, citing "huge disagreement"

One more thing! You mentioned Trump's governing: "He operates with a belief that there is nothing he can't do. Nothing. Zero. Nothing.

You got some explaining to do with Trump and Vance!

So she projected her daddy issues on Trump?

That's quite a metaphor to use when describing someone as overly-boisterous and overconfident, she could have just said that.

If she did not get permission to do this interview from Trump himself, she should be canned. Might as well have sit down with Rachel Maddow for an interview.

I have never been a fan of Wiles but I admit part of that is she has a vendetta against DeSantis and anyone who is close to DeSantis because he fired her. It's a big reason why any of the big DeSantis supporters have taken both barrels from this admin and Trump doesn't want DeSantis or some of the folks who have done such an incredible job in Florida work for him. It's a big part of why he has had issues with Massie and Roy. If there was ever cutting off your nose to spite your face that's it. That's why she wanted Bondi as AG, she was pre DeSantis in Florida for instance.

The level of idiocy to do 11 interviews with that much access to a hard core Left wing media outlet like Vanity Fair though is just mind numbing. Trump does stupid crap like that because he is a narcissist but Wiles should know better. She's generally kept a low profile and to come and decide to just give Vanity Fair that level of access, be overly candid with them, and then act surprised she is getting dragged is just idiotic.

It's also very clear that Wiles will not accept any criticism from an insider, if you do you will quickly find yourself on the outside or on a hit list.

Wiles has done some good things in terms of keeping Trump focused and staying behind the scenes but doing this interview is the opposite of that. If she is doing interviews she should only do them with a friendly.

Such a stupid own goal.

it's not even the crass characterizations / insults about the team that is important. who really cares?

it's that she LITERALLY stated her opposition to MAGA policies such as deportation, tariffs, shutting down USAID, ending the Deep State, blowing up drug cartels, etc.

What was said in her resignation letter?

It's cute to see the same ol group get together to talk about Trump unforced errors, own goals, worst 48 hours ever, and Trump is a think skin and is going to **** all over Suzy Wiles for this.

Or she let out criticisms that Trump and many of those who support him would agree with. Vance likes conspiracies, Bondi wrecked the bus on Epstein, Trump is a boisterous workaholic and Elon uses drugs.

I am struggling to see why anyone is upset or even moderately concerned about this? Do peoples hands ever tire from clutching the pearls?

I don't understand why she did the interview. She's by far the most experienced (and IMO most intelligent) political operative in the White House and the one that has been able to keep her name out of the media all this time. It doesn't make sense that she did this.

You should ask those questions to the cabinet members that put out statements saying this was all a smear campaign. The opposition here seems mostly centered around why the interviews were given in the first place.

ETA: I mostly agree with you that this isn't a yuge deal, as most of this stuff was known or at least hinted at for the last several months. I think it's on a higher level when the President's Chief of Staff comes out and says, "Yeah, it's basically all true."

Wiles helped get DeSantis elected and he felt she was taking too much credit, too much of the spotlight, so he and Casey jettisoned her.

She's not naive, she's not a newcomer, she is a fireball, a well-connected power player who is incredible at being organized.

DeSantis would have done much better by keeping her around. Instead he made her available to Trump and a big reason DeSantis never stood a chance against DJT.

Actually he fired her because she lost his trust. She has done everything in her power since then to destroy him and everyone associated with him though in spite of how stupid that is. DeSantis is easily the most effective and efficient politician in the GOP and what he has done in Florida can't be overstated. He has completely destroyed the Democratic Party there. He has shown a model of efficiency and good governance across virtually every field. He is the only GOP politician that has successfully taken out Soros judges. The list is endless. Wiles was there at the beginning but had nothing to do with the overwhelming majority of DeSantis' accomplishments. Yet she would rather have Trump appoint the second string folks and the people from pre DeSantis Florida to posts rather than the people who have actually been winning legislatively and legally.

She is organized and I certainly agree she isn't a newcomer. She's just a very bitter and very vindictive person who has done some really stupid things and blames others for her mistakes. This Vanity Fair article is a perfect example. She is the idiot who decided to give them access for 11 interviews. She let down her hair and acted like she wasn't talking to someone who despises her and wants to take down Trump. Her reaction though? "They took me out of context! It's their fault!" Unreal.

Trump did the same thing with Bob Woodward and he seemed to have learned his lesson. Wiles is supposed to be his protector and she just let the enemy inside the camp for no reason other than some naive narcissistic desire to have people that hate her hopefully say nice things about her. Absolutely inexcusable, especially because she of all people should know better. It's not like Chuck Schumer invites in the Daily Wire or Tucker Carlson in to hang around his office and interviews them 11 times in hopes that they will like him.

If you think Wiles is why Trump won you are also a fool. Trump won because he is Trump.

Why? It's her job to help Trump out of messes and not to create them. Is this fatal? No, it's just incredibly stupid and inexcusable. There is zero benefit from allowing VF in for 11 interviews and speaking candidly to them but it now has given the Dems all kinds of new ways to attack and divide Trump and his agenda.

Let me guess, 8D chess or something? Trump does and says stupid stuff all the time but he's the kind of guy that can make a huge mistake and make up for it with a huge win. Wiles is supposed to be the one keeping Trump from making those huge mistakes or taking bullets for him but instead she just set off a hand grenade for no reason inside the tent.

People defending this crap are the type that think the Rob Reiner comments were actually a good idea.

Rob Reiner comments are just fine and so is this with Wiles. No need to clutch the pearls so tightly.

You are dead wrong about what went on between her and DeSantis. That's fine, it's lost in the headlines, but the riff was about Ron and Casey feeling like Wiles was stealing too much of the limelight, credit.

Good to see the DeSantis Loverz / Trump Haterz get their footing back. It's been a rough couple of years for those who thought DeSantis would waltz to the 2024 RNC top of ticket.

Spoiler alert… he doesn't stand a chance of being the nomination in 2028, 2032, and beyond.

I do think Trump sanctioned these interviews. This is his way of blaming his many failures on his staff. If it wasn't sanctioned, he'd probably be defensively rage tweeting nonstop about how Vanity Fair is a terrorist organization or some such tripe. Instead we get an avalanche of carefully worded non-denials from the entire cabinet all at once. Trump is sending a message to normal rich people that there is someone sane at the helm who knows how incompetent his staff is and is at least trying to prevent them from setting the whole country on fire.

4D chess indeed.

Perino talked about this article on The Five and how she was duped by VF back in 2006 regarding doing a piece on Karl Rove. They smeared him and even used bad photos.

McEnany discussed trump and Bob Woodward. Her caution is for an R to never ever give time to a MSM reporter. She also thinks maybe Trump and Wiles were playing a little chess with the press and the cabinet and VF turned it on them.

Who knows. The lesson remains, MSM cannot be trusted. Like all libs, they are liars, manipulators with no ethics, morals and just consumed with their thirst for absolute power.
