I found out today that my doc will not take ACA. So I'm going COBRA next year which is also expensive. I assumed ACA would be taken. I was wrong.

If I have a time gap between COBRA and Medicare, and want to keep my doc, what are my options since ACA is out?!

Unless you have a job change, you can't just jump on COBRA but maybe you will?

Other options:

- Medishare
- Find an independent insurance broker. Try battleinsurance.net. She lives in College Station.

Both of these options will be cheaper than ACA and COBRA.

Medical tourism should be on your radar.

I was with a loved one going into surgery today. The non-medical questions asked were unbelievable.

I went to an annual exam last week and got a paper questionnaire when I checked in. I left it blank.

Well, I guess the planned vote on the Republican healthcare plan that was scheduled for this last Wednesday never happened. I can't find anything on it. All I can find is that the separate subsidy extension vote has been punted to January now that they are adjourned for the year.

So the Republicans have given up again on their own plan I guess.

It is time for the "Affordable Care Act" to live or die on its own. "From the ashes we can build build a better day"

The problem is that Dems want only one option: Medicare for All, ultimately followed by VA style where providers work for the gov. They won't support anything else.

The only way out is to nuke the filibuster. Even that may not be enough because of people like Murk, Collins, McConnell, etc.. and numerous big gov Rs in the House.
