I always hear them *****ing about Western colonialism and, of course, lumping Israel into the equation as well. But you rarely, if ever, hear them mention China, or even Muslim expansion if you want to go back historically.
You would think that if someone is against colonialism on moral grounds, it should not matter whether it was carried out by Western countries or by others.
Take China, for example. Xinjiang, Tibet, and Inner Mongolia can all reasonably be described as colonist expansions. If you want to include economic colonialism, you can add the Belt and Road initiatives. Then there is Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the South China Sea.
Yet rarely, if ever, do you hear people on the left up in arms about any of this.
