And now with yet another massive snowstorm with blizzard conditions on the way.

I don't know if NY has recall elections for Mayors (I think they do) but a city's failures in managing snowstorms has buried (pardon the pun) many a mayor in the past.

Further, Mamdani has made powerful enemies, not just billionaires but political class such as Hochul. If Albany needs to act to get him out of the Mayor's office, my guess is they will do so.

It'll be interesting to watch the death count of the homeless this go round.

Watching the Weather Channel this morning. A foot of snow in NYC as of a few hours ago and still falling. Windy conditions causing drifts and it is a very wet heavy snow. If the wind wasn't blowing power lines would be snapping. As it is, the poles are getting inches of snow on one side as the wind deposits it there.

It will take days and days to dig out of this one.

I'm sure they will enjoy the collective warmth they now have to get through this.

I hope all of NYC suffers. I hope there are riots to seek warmth inside browmstones and Epstein's multi-level, multi-room building. I hope that the crime rate in NYC drops to zero bc of the weather and no help. They should all get what they voted for (apparently).

Back in the late 60s early 70s, Chicago had two blizzards a few years apart. The first got Jane Byrne elected Mayor. The second ended her term as a Mayor.

Even New Yorkers understand strikes by unions and are tolerant of the inconvenience of them.

Weather events, that are predicted days to a week out? Not so much.
