Noem said that CBP and ICE will have body cams going forward (I have no clue why, with their funding, this didnt happen day 1 -- remember the Goode incident was filmed by a cell phone that the officer was holding in his hand) to counteract things like these, but it appears that MPD and State Patrol do not have BWCs on them.

The feds (particularly FBI) don't want them, even on uniformed officers doing searches and crap like that. Have their reasons, I guess.
But DHS with ICE making arrests and BCP encounters, BWCs would have been a good idea.
As to the MPD and State Patrol discontinue using them for these joint operations? Hard pass on that. Makes no sense.
I could be wrong on MPD and State Patrol, I just Zaprudered the Twitter videos and I couldn't see any, but they may be smaller and not where I was looking.

Antifa/their handlers coach them to not carry cell phones or ID on them to make it harder to ID them if they are detained.
Everybody has their cameras out during these protests or riots, whatever. I guess they could all be burners.
