I can't tell you WHY so many medical professionals are leftists loonies, but I can definitely confirm that they are heavily left leaning as a group. I grew up in the Rice Village area of Houston in the 70's and early 80's and I watched it go from a normal area with many sane, middle to upper middle class families to a hotbed of far left nutjobs. BTW, this timing corresponds roughly with nearby Rice going completely off the woke cliff since 2000 or so. Around 2018 my parents finally sold their house in that area and the next time I drove by it there were crazy anti-Trump signs in the front yard from the new occupants. For those of you not familiar with Houston, this area is walking distance from the Texas Medical Center. Over time, medical people have taken over the neighborhood. Once they hit a certain concentration, the libs just completely metastasized into a mob of toxic freaks like we are seeing in Minneapolis. I go into a dark mood every time I drive through that part of town, especially when the leftist campaign signs are out everywhere.

As many know I have the pleasure of working with many Dr and nurses and not all of them are crazy leftist loons (but some definitely are)

Though one of the funniest things I saw recently was actually a PT being introduced to their nurse who was about to take them back to surgery. He politely introduced himself and was asking her the basic questions (allergies, history etc)

and when he gets to "will you accept blood products in an emergency" she says "not from a MAGA person!"

Like dead serious. And then goes on a rant about how they're awful human beings and she doesn't want one within 30 feet of her!

Theeeeeen she suddenly notices his scrub cap which has an army theme on it because he's a vet.

The look on her face as the little hamster inside her head turning the wheel realizes this person does not share her world view but is part of her surgery team and she is entrusting her safety to was priceless. She backtracks with "well maybe not all, I'm sure some are good people!"

Now this guy is pure professional and even though he can see the look all does is smile and say "Thank you ma'am, we'll take very good care of you today!"

And that's how it's supposed to be. You do your best no matter who you are caring for.

These loons calling for the killing or firing of others for not agreeing with them politically do not belong in the HC industry

I work in EMS as a paramedic for a suburban 911 Agency. The least appealing part of the job is when dispatched to a patient that requires chemical and physical restraint. I do not enjoy those calls at all. Those calls are more stressful than shootings, stabbings and STEMI's.

Has already taken down her LinkedIn page, and reviews are showing up on the practice social media pages. One of the largest gastro practices in Texas --- wouldn't expect her to last long!!

One photo says she's a 2nd-generation Ag...I'm sure her parents are proud.
