Wow! Fifty years. Time flies.

If they'd done that immediately after the Mulvany dust up, America would have forgiven them and moved on.
Even better, made a parody of the "I love you man" Bud Light commercial making fun of themselves, we would have laughed and forgotten about it all.
Fully agree with that. But the adults had left the building at InBev by that time and those remaining lacked the ability to be flexible and pivot when a bad idea was proven to be a very bad idea.
Coca Cola figured that out with New Coke and listened to their customers, rectified their error and got on down the road with just a roadbump.

If that's all it takes for you I guess. They've already shown you where their values lie, and it's not represented by those pandering visuals.

No amount of cute animals would get me to drink their swill and that was before they were stupid.
Irrelevant to the fact that the ad is very good. Nothing they put out would make you drink it, but that's not the point of this post. Now you can say the whole point of advertising is to get people to buy their products and that is true and this won't work on some people, but the fact of the matter is it's a good ad.
Sometimes people as well as companies can realize their mistakes and try to correct it. If we never allow for anyone to correct their mistakes then that's kind of sad. There has to be a chance at redemption in some cases.
Plus, how can anybody hate horses, eagles and that song.

Great commercial. It's just too bad it comes off as extremely disingenuous, after parading a guy around in a dress recently.
You shouldn't be guilted into being Patriotic, because of your bottom line. You should just be Patriotic because this is the greatest country in existence.

Writing jingles was a pretty lucrative job for many songwriters just starting out. Vaguely remembered that about Manilow although I wouldn't have been caught dead at a Manilow concert, whereas I almost was caught dead when a roommate convinced me to go with her to a Commodores concert in Houston. I think we were two of about a hundred white people in that giant venue. LOL.
This was probably in the late 90s when I saw him and honestly, it was a great concert. I get that some people don't like him, but I have a very wide taste of music. I like the Commodores, I love the Eagles, Boston, I love a lot of 70s 80s music.

Man, you guys are jaded. I don't buy Bud, but I loved the commercial. But then again I do get teary-eyed about the Clydesdales - love them.

Imagine the liberal outrage at Budweiser once they find out that the band used to perform in front of a gigantic Confederate Flag.

Hispanics don't drink Shiner, though. They still like Bud Light.

Probably about four years ago my kids and I were driving home from school and we drove by a gas station and there was a big old semi truck parked in the gas station with the Clydesdales out in the parking lot. I did a U-turn and pulled in because I was so excited and I wanted to see the Clydesdales.
Evidently, this is just something Budweiser does. My kids thought I was weird, but I had to see that Clydesdales up close.
