Are these some great TV ads or what? Talarico looks like a HS kid and never identifies as a Democrat. Those Hutto Hippo soccer moms look very adorable.

Crockett found a 5th grader to narrate her pitch. Matching IQ deal I guess. Only thing she fights for is a spot in front of the tv camera.

Who paid for this tripe? Gonna be fun to watch for the next month.

Sadly I don't think so. She will turn out her base and its midterms so GOP turnout will likely be down. She is inauthentic and has no policy ideas, but that doesn't really matter anymore.

Her base is very small. The black urban vote in Texas is not much here, only 12% of Texas is black. She turns off Hispanics and even white libs aren't excited about her. Formula works great for a House seat but is a disaster statewide. Also probably looking at an open seat race if Cornyn goes down in the primary and the new Congressional map. She won't actually lose by 30 of course but 20 is possible, certainly at least 10.

Just heard an ad for Crockett.

It is anti-ICE and actually says ICE are Nazis.

Clearly she's trying to win the primary by getting the insane, violent base to vote for her.

The only midterm I've ever voted in was '18 and that was only to vote AGAINST Beto. This midterm will be the same. I'll make the effort only to vote against one of these two morons.

Crocketts "bump" is from black women voters.

a Republican avoiding voting in the important contests in our own primary to score internet points by voting in a democrat primary when neither Democrat has a shot to win is the opposite of smart. Thankfully, the number of those voters is negligible.

I couldn't agree more.

When you look at Talarico's events you see people of all races, ages, and walks of life. That's even more than Beto had.

Her events are filled with exactly who you think would be there, which isn't a knock on them, but her.

Talarico was always going to win, but the bump he got after the Colbert thing made him even more the obvious choice.

Democrats are becoming a stronger majority female every cycle, essentially they rely on the single, college educated female vote as their primary voting block. Married women and non college educated are more split. Men vote GOP.

I'm not convinced the quasi-gay quasi-Christian frat boy look is going to sell well overall with the portion of Texas Hispanics who are liberal. There was high turnout in some of the RGV counties I saw for the Dems also.

It goes without saying though, I am also not real sure how well Jazzy can appeal to that group. Neither will hit the Robert Francis levels statewide with that group I guess is what I am trying to say.

I went to vote yesterday and there was a long line then some guy said if you are voting Republican you can skip this line and go straight in. I said " I wouldn't vote for a Democrat to save my life" loudly as I walking up to the front and he grabbed my arm and said you can't say that lol I wasn't surprised living where I live but it is just unbelievable how many there were.
