I imagine Crockett may be benefitting from Texas open primaries and getting a boost from smart GOP voters
Crocketts "bump" is from black women voters.
a Republican avoiding voting in the important contests in our own primary to score internet points by voting in a democrat primary when neither Democrat has a shot to win is the opposite of smart. Thankfully, the number of those voters is negligible.

Are these some great TV ads or what? Talarico looks like a HS kid and never identifies as a Democrat. Those Hutto Hippo soccer moms look very adorable.
Crockett found a 5th grader to narrate her pitch. Matching IQ deal I guess. Only thing she fights for is a spot in front of the tv camera.
Who paid for this tripe? Gonna be fun to watch for the next month.

Yes to your first point. 57% of their voters so far are female.
Edit: wrong tweet.57% of the vote so far is female. Good data by Derek on the Texas Dem primary. This is built from the voter’s individual file using their names https://t.co/MqfbaaImPM pic.twitter.com/gzSjtDQFVp

No real evidence that outperformance by female dems is going to shift, imho.
Normatively, it’s not great to kick out journalists from reputable news sources. Secondly, operationally having good press relations is massively important especially in an underdog race. Having a healthy relationship with the press can allow you more earned media opportunities

So weak. She couldn't handle the Atlantic reporter?

Cricket is not winning the primary. If you actually think she has a decent chance then go bet on her, she is currently at about 18% chance on betting markets.

Talarico's commercials are nothing but "I stood up to..." which means he did absolutely nothing but ***** and moan as a state rep.

he did run away and flee the state as a state rep that didn't want to vote on bills.
Mamdani, Talarico, this is essential in today’s age. Why so much of our leadership needs to go. This is foreign and uncomfortable for them https://t.co/yKrr7bthFl

Talarico is Temu Beto. Crockett could lose by 30 even against Paxton she's that bad.
Sadly I don't think so. She will turn out her base and its midterms so GOP turnout will likely be down. She is inauthentic and has no policy ideas, but that doesn't really matter anymore.
Her base is very small. The black urban vote in Texas is not much here, only 12% of Texas is black. She turns off Hispanics and even white libs aren't excited about her. Formula works great for a House seat but is a disaster statewide. Also probably looking at an open seat race if Cornyn goes down in the primary and the new Congressional map. She won't actually lose by 30 of course but 20 is possible, certainly at least 10.
I couldn't agree more.
When you look at Talarico's events you see people of all races, ages, and walks of life. That's even more than Beto had.
Her events are filled with exactly who you think would be there, which isn't a knock on them, but her.
Talarico was always going to win, but the bump he got after the Colbert thing made him even more the obvious choice.
