Private school? Not impressed. My 3 boys go/went to 7 Lakes high school here in Katy. One of the best schools in the state and it's public. Private school education means $$$$$, nothing more, nothing less. And that public school education got my son into A&M and then into medical school. Private school education is over blown.

i agree- some suburban public schools have far more value when considering the cost of private schools. But that is not the point. this ghetto congresswoman from dallas that's always raging in ebonics on tv attended a very exclusive very expensive private college prep school in Missiouri. i agree, but Ellis pointed out the private education which told me nothing. Trust me, I agree with you, it's just when people point out that "such and such" went to a private high school or college doesn't mean they are smarted than a kid that went to Tech or A&M or any other public institution of higher learning. My youngest is being recruited to play football at Cornell and Colgate. Good schools, but not necessarily better than A&M or tu academically.

I don't think she gets into Rhodes College (from the expensive exclusive prep school) and gets a business degree and then gets into UofH law school, finishes, and passes the bar in Texas, if she's as stupid as she intentionally makes herself sound constantly in public. I think that's all anyone is trying to say. No need to have a sidebar about your kids' successful journeys through public schools or anecdotes about stupid people going to private schools or any debates about the true value of expensive private schools. Ok. If you say so. Sidebar? I only brought up my OWN kid's success because others were enamored with her private schooling, which there are "other" things to take into account about that. Plenty of "dumb" people get into private schools whether money or other considerations. Geezus.
