If those are the results from a CNN poll, the real numbers are probably 80/20.

I am not convinced about his statements on jobs. The job market is still awful and H1B scams are happening unabated. I don't buy that part of it. It is easier for an Indian in tech to get a job in America than for an American. I know things are happening behind the scenes so that is good. I would like the speed to increase and loopholes be plugged.
Fake news.
UE is at full employment. U6 is trending down. Labor force participation rate for 25-54 year olds is at the highest level since the year 2001, 25 years ago!
Wrong. The job market is terrible right now for new entrants and experienced Americans. This is especially true in tech. I have been in the industry for over 25 years and it hasn't ever been this bad, including 2008 and 2001.
I am amazed that people just blindly believe government numbers. Or maybe what we call "jobs" these days are HVAC, plumber and electrician jobs as recommended by the old geezers on this group, while foreigners have cornered all the intellectual jobs by undercutting or nepotism.

Cry me a river. I don't give a **** about techies having a rough run.
Remember "learn to code" from Obama as he put thousands of blue collar Americans out on their asses with the bull**** green energy scam?
Well, learn to dig.

The hashtag rotates, the outrage gets recycled, but it's always the same sanctimonious clowns, the same hysterical tantrums, the same useless street theater. New flavor of moral superiority every couple years, same cast of perpetual protesters, same zero actual results.
It's not activism. It's a lazy, NGO taxpayer and whatever foundation funded lifestyle subscription for spoiled narcissists who want the cheap dopamine hit of feeling holier than thou without ever having to build a damn thing, solve a real problem, take responsibility, lead anyone, or produce one measurable win in the real world. They gaslight and throw fits, to impress their sheep, and appease the corporate media who constantly runs cover for them and gives them a platform to cry on.
Trump put them all on notice front and center we're tired of it and hopefully it sticks with the weaker parts of the red team. The face of demestic terrorism.

Saw on another podcast where Trump's approval ratings as measured by right track/wrong track questions on his policies. He was at 54% approval before the SOTU and 64% afterwards.
Assuming that tracks, the ten % difference would be squishy Republicans and Independents, IMO.

This era of American history is insane. I think we're living on a knife's edge. I still don't know if it's enough to turn the tables against the welfare state and their political class overlords in this country, which is the only thing that would bring about lasting change. But damn it's clear today that regardless of your prior ideological bent, the divide in this country is between two factions:
1) Those who love it despite its flaws and want to work to make it better
2) Those who hate it and want to burn it down and remake it into something altogether different, something they can control
Love him, hate him, or just tolerate him, Trump has drawn a line in the sand and forced people to get on one side or the other. I wish the Republicans in congress as well as state legislatures across the country would recognize what an opportunity this is and get in the fight. I'm afraid they're still too programmed to go along with the status quo just so they will have an open chair when the music stops. Hopefully the Republican presidential bench can keep this bully pulpit going and force the issue.

Many, many of them are fake jobs. Or you are being phished for interview as an American citizen so they can reject you, put your name on an H1B form and hire Rajesh sitting in the wings needing a renewal.
There are many reasons. Look at the Job Network board, many are complaining about fake jobs and its various reasons.
I am amazed when people are so trusting of corporations. We need to learn to be more cynical.
Every issue Trump laid out is 90-10 popular:
— Cernovich (@Cernovich) February 25, 2026
- SAVE Act
- No driver's licenses for illegal aliens
- $1,000 for every child in Trump accounts
- No AI data centers without electric bills staying the same
- End insider trading by members of Congress
Massive wins for the country!

Well, I'd say about 50% of the jobs I see require the applicant to be a US citizen, so that H1B crap is out the door...

Of all the professional techies I've known, just about 100% of them are weird. Scared to death to speak to someone on the phone or in person. Everything has to be IM or email. They have absolutely no social skills.
As soon as AI takes over their little software writing jobs, they are screwed.

Paralyzed but also their brains were not engaged. Who are their constituents? Voters. Are illegal aliens voters in large numbers? No.
Pandering is one thing. Pandering to people who are not their voters? Dumb.
