I think Israel ends up doing what we want. I think Israel wanted help taking out the regime forty years ago, but a series of weak political leaders chose not to, even though American citizens were being killed by Iran's proxies, including 45 who were killed on October 7th. I don't know how others feel, but when American citizens get killed, I want the people who caused it to find out who they are really meeting, and it's not 72 virgins. But it wasn't until now that we had someone with the guts to do it. And it's not like we didn't attempt to negotiate, and it's not like we didn't warn them.

The 45 US citizens that were killed on 10/07 are very much overlooked by this country. I bet most of our populace has no idea we lost that many people on 10/07.

I would suggest to you that is well within our interest to eliminate Iran from further intrigue. Combined with the establishment of a security network between Israel and Arab nations, this stands a good chance of giving us latitude to focus elsewhere.

We will need that. We have a Pooh Bear who wants a pretty important island off his border. We need to make sure one of our oldest and most essential allies remains fully capable of making the South China Sea red with the blood of Maoist trash.

Elimination of distractions and dangers elsewhere gives us more ability to force China to look somewhere else to "liberate" Chinese peoples.
