These dudes are excellent marketers. This company was called Element Fuels and they received permits back in 2024. They rebranded themselves as America First Refining. Smart.

Trump added a few extra zeroes, and it is called America First Refining now. Here is their website - https://americafirstrefining.com.

It is intended to process Eagle Ford shale oil crude.

Someone high in their management said it was a $4 billion dollar refinery - I don't see any way they spend $300 billion.

It's being funded and operated by Reliance Industries. Trumps investment numbers likely include prospective LNG and petrochemical projects this could help.

It will break ground, there will be a lawsuit sponsored by a Chinese funded environmental organization like the Sierra Club or whatever else. Some federal judge in some hippie state will put it on hold. Then the project will get canceled by a future Democrat administration. Rinse and repeat.

If you look on Google Earth it looks like the ship channel into Brownsville already has a pretty large area where there is a tank farm. I doubt it will be seen or noticed on South Padre Island.

Glad to see a refinery being built. Seems like as good a spot as any.
