I do not share that sentiment and think its a premature conclusion.

Trump was dancing to the gay national anthem less than an hour ago. Combined with his time on The Five yesterday, he is very relaxed and very confident.

Regardless of what happens on funding this afternoon, the initial takes concluding its a loss for Trump will be immature and wrong.

I do think there are some crevasses at the R leadership levels. I do not think its an indication of Trump's influence weakening. Likely the opposite is occurring.

He has not. John Solomon and Ar Fleischer think POTUS should / would sign. Mike Johnson is imminent for a presser, but I suspect he may be on a phone call.

The Senate bill that was passed actually looks like a win for Republicans and the House is going to **** the bed on this.

The Senate bill's only compromise to the Democrats was for body cameras which I think the vast majority of people are fine with anyway. No other Dem demands were implemented.

The Senate bill funds DHS minus new funding for ICE and CBP through September, but ICE and CBP are already funded through 2029 from OBBB.

edit: Trump had actually already agreed to body cameras before this leglislation was even done so really the Senate R's gave up nothing to the Democrats here, frankly. Kind of a slam dunk win for the R's.

If the Democrats weren't so evil and communist, they would easily be surpassed by the ineptness and own goaling of the Republicans.

Lets see how many more Republican special elections in districts that went 10+ Trump both locally and nationally need to be lost before this congress wakes the **** up.

We just lost marlago in FL and damn near every other district that's been up since 2024. Those arent misnomers. People are MAD and the R's are DEAF to the screams.

I feel good about traveling to Montana for Easter on Friday. For Tuesday trip to Houston for meeting, I will fly JSX or drive.

Confirmed Trump EO is for back pay and to bring pay current. So it should rebound but maybe not overnight.
