Trump won Grimes County (Navasota) by 60 points. There is more juice to these protests than the right is giving them credit. Not a great sign for November. Yes it's a long ways away. And I believe a large portion of the marked jump in attendance is economic related (by that I mean gas prices).

I did find it funny that precisely at noon, everyone left.
I doubt they move the needle at all or make any bit of difference.

It is expected for the minority party to make gains in the mid terms. The dems absolutely have to or they lose even more face. The pressure is on them.

I just saw some in georgetown and more in pflugerville by my neighborhood. 80% were fat grey haired white women.

What are they putting in AARP magazine that gets these losers to show up?

Nit a single colored person in sight

That means 20% didn't vote for him and all they got was a few dozen people to show up.

A few dozen is actually a sizable percentage of the population. The fact it is 3-4x the size of the previous protests is interesting. Also, a lot of under 40, blue collar, men.

Yeah, protestors who don't really know why they're protesting or what they're doing tend to just show up and leave when they're told

That's assuming they're actually from the area. Seems like a lot to draw a conclusion from based on casual glances.

It's something to do but also be aware of. They're suckers for propaganda apoarently, and they very well can see the economy is rough right now in places. It's going to take some work to turn this around, or the Dems will use these useful idiots to wreck the nation for a couple of generations

The whole event is just a giant cosplay, instagram, look at me opportunity.

If only these folks would get off their butts and volunteer labor they could make a much bigger impact on their community AND THEMSELVES.

But the cheap attention whoring is just too easy and irresitable to them. It's all feel good over substance, which does align with their whole worldview.

People forget really fast. All they know is that gas is higher now than Jan 1. People have very short term memories when it comes to economics.

They have zero interest in having an impact on their community. They're lazy. They show up for a paid protest and pretend they're doing good in the world instead of actually rolling up their sleeves and doing good.

The bridge over the lake in Marble Falls was lined on both sides with a bunch of old geezers holding signs.
I took great pleasure in showing them they were number one as we drove past.
Freaking idiots.

Bless your heart. Maybe you can eventually make this into something more than an astroturf event attended by a bunch of people who never, ever vote Republican.

So I throw up my hands

Except for a heart singing hallelujah

Let's suppose places like Navasota are 100% organic.

How many people at the rally ever voted for Trump at least one time? 0.05% would be generous.

These are the most rabid of the left.

Elections are about the independents and turnout.

Does this sway any independents? Only the ones least likely to vote Republican.

Does it drive turnout? Yes. On both sides.

I actually love seeing who supports the No Kings thing.

It's always helpful when low IQ or low information people self identify. Saves a lot of time.

It wouldn't exactly be precedent-setting for the Democrats to mobilize lower level union members.

I find it more believable than a bunch of blue collar workers all of a sudden wanting to show up with that particular crowd.

Not saying there isn't some truth to the economy and prices causing frustration with lower/middle class voters.

I'm just not buying the "blue wave" narrative, and most of these "protests" seem very contrived and forced that make things sound a lot worse than they really are.

Probably the same 40 or so older folks I saw protesting a year ago for something political. Thought it was strange, didn't recognize any of them. Something was a bit off about the whole setup/protest. Quihi resident.

I can't imagine wanting to around that crowd.

I realize, of course, that the organizers are all paid agitators, but the people who show up voluntarily are truly special.
