The use of categorizing people is a tactic honed to a fine edge by the Democratic Party leadership, to divide people, create animosity and resentment.
Here is a few thoughts by Saul Alinsky pertinent to attacking groups of people

• The organizers first job is to create the issues or problems( like blame the BOOMERS), and organizations must be based on many issues. The organizer must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community(the reason we have problems with liberal radicals is the fault of the BOOMERS); fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues(the Boomers are the reason for our issues with government), rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent(our problems are a result of BOOMERS).

Rather than try a form a coalition with politically like minded people regardless of age, race, ethnic background, rural or urban upbringing, etc. these people that paint everyone with a broad brush only serve to divide people not join people together in a common cause.

You nailed it Gunny and described every friend, acquaintance and relative I have in my age group. We all did nothing but work, raise our families and pay taxes. I had 6 yards to mow when I was 11 years old, built fence, dug ditches and a hundred other things but always had a little money in my pocket.

I guess our biggest fault was trusting Democrats (and Republicans to a degree) who have run our country into the ground and robbed us blind. Now that so many are paying attention maybe there's at least a chance.

I've never considered myself a victim like some on here.

I live in Austin. We were driving home north on Lamar from having met friends for lunch. No Kings weirdos were crossing the street in front of us at a stop light. Mother, father and a child - 10-12 years old I guess. Frankly, had no clued as to the gender of the child. But the kid was wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and carrying a home-made sign that said "I'm Queer for Gun Control."

Then a little further up the street car in front of us had a bumper sticker that said "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."

What a world we live in.

In Kyle we had old white people dancing in the street with accordions singing NO KINGS. Well the mayor saw the video and there are laws for being in the street in Kyle and it was also a State Road. Now the old Dems are moaning and groaning that their Democratic rights are being infringed. What a world we live in indeed.
