No, they're saying support what we want you to and dare not have a dissenting well founded Christian thought.

Yep, if he said I'm gay, he'd have a pay raise. NBA supporting people that don't support them unless its the Arkansas starting lineup

Jesus said not to call sin "sin?"

He said we should not call out and condemn sinners publicly. Instead we should be bringing them to Christ. Y'all should read more than the Old Testament.

Ummmm… Jesus was not quoted in the Old Testament. The Old Testament was "eye for an eye. Tooth for a tooth."

Jesus and Paul were not afraid to call out hypocrisy and sin when saw it. Did you read the passage of Jesus turning over the money changers' tables in the temple?

The tolerant left has struck again.

I hope he sues the Bulls and NBA for infringing on his religious beliefs and wins a boatload from them. Would the Bulls be able to do this to a Muslim that didn't agree with LGBTQ? You can forget about it!

So he made some public comments that made his employer mad, don't we support the free market and employers' ability to hire and fire as they see fit?

No one said they couldnt fire him, why do you question our freedom of speech to talk bad about them? See how stupid your point is?

Please reread what I wrote. I never said Jesus said anything in the Old Testament.

Jesus had no problem calling out sin, but told us not to.

Jesus said judge not, lest ye be judged. He did not say to not teach about what is and isn't sinful. He said to make disciples of all the earth and to teach them His commandments.

You are seriously misinterpreting the Bible if you think we are not to teach others about sinful nature.

He was condemning the NBA for Pride Month. Stating that homosexuality is an unnatural, immoral behavior is not a stance that is inconsistent with Biblical teachings.

By reading the Bible.

14% of the world is illiterate. Are we not supposed to explain scriptures to them? Are they not worthy to you to be saved and to learn of the teachings of Jesus? To state that reading the Bible is the only way to learn about what is in the Bible and what God sees as sinful is a confounding view of Christianity. Most of the people during Jesus time could not read and spoken world was the only way to make disciples of them.

Averaging 8.5 pts per game on 45% shooting…I wouldn't say this is bad.

He's also injured and out for the season.

You're right, the employer had a right to Let him go. But do you think if this player was Muslim and had said that they would've treated him the same way? I doubt it and we know what Islam thinks about gays.

I am proud of Jaden Ivey for risking his NBA career to stand in God's righteousness. The NBA players union probably won't fight for him. I hope another team signs Jaden Ivey. If not, I hope he has a post-NBA career plan.

He got waived because he was injured and was annoying TF out of the team with his views.

You can only be self-righteous guy with a microphone outside Kyle Field for so long before folks want you to go somewhere else.

No crap, that tells us what is sin, but without judging whats actually going on you cant identify it.

I was asked how do I identify sin if I don't judge other people. I stated by reading the Bible. I said nothing about the rest of the world. I'm stating I don't judge other people to learn what a sin is.

Ivey was not teaching the word of God. He was passing judgement and condemning people. It's pretty obvious.

From the Bulls' X. They let him go due to his views. Seems like an easy target for a lawsuit. Would be a nice time for other Christian players to stand up but they won't.

If you've played a grand total of 29 minutes over 65 games, you're probably not very good. Throw this episode on top, and yeah, you're probably getting cut.

If you're a star, teams will put up with a lot of your bs.

Sure looks that way, but also probably not the only reason. If he was a 15/5/5 guy, he probably gets told to knock it off and keep his preaching to himself. Teams will not hesitate to cut you if you're not great and drawing unwanted attention to the team.

He's a free agent at the end of the year and the Bulls basically took a flyer on him to see if they wanted to resign him. Evidently, he didn't like the trade much and has not interacted with the team during his rehab. Chicago already has too many guards so this is basically just letting him be a free agent a few months early and gaining LGBTQIARS cred points while doing so.

From everything I have followed, there have been ongoing and legit concerns about the guy's mental stability.

He had a 2025 podcast where he said he was a victim of childhood sexual abuse and has since battled anger management issues, alcoholism, and sex addiction. He has been on record with long battles against extreme depression.

The religious turn is just the latest episode.

But you are correct. The Pistons dumped him on the Bulls in a 3 team trade as his injuries have killed his career and now the Bulls are like . . why are we keeping this dude around?

Jaden should not be surprised in the least at any of this. Jesus taught endlessly that the world would hate his disciples. To be united to Christ means we are not of this world.
