No one is saying the NBA should not have the right to fire him. We are saying it is effing stupid and wicked to do so. We have rights too. Most NBA contracts are guaranteed contracts. They would have to show that this violated his contract to not pay him. Good luck with that.

They have every right to fire him and the public has every right to point out the hypocrisy of it in relation to players not being released for beating their girlfriends.

I also know his anti catholic comments were controversial and I don't agree with those (even as a Protestant) but I believe those were made AFTER his release so they can't use that as an excuse. It was purely due to the pride night stuff.

Love that he took a stand in a very candid way that was not insulting. I hope his brothers in Christ all stand with him.

This guy is pretty clearly having a mental health episode in front of the world, and everyone is using him to promote their own side of a culture war. He didn't get cut for being anti-LGBT, he was cut because he sucked, is injured constantly, is not mentally stable, and made negative headlines.

He told the Bulls that "Jesus" completely healed his knee, which was subsequently refuted by an MRI. He got shutdown after that for the remainder of the season. Then it appears he began to make his statement that got the initial negative headlines. This dude needs help, not a bunch of people egging him on.
