Exactly, I don't know why people are lying about the job market. It is terrible and has been for 3+ years. I feel there is an uptick recently but who knows. Other than Trump yapping about it and his lapdogs barking the same thing, there is no change. Stock markets are down YTD as well so there is no silver lining.

The only reason why some people may think the job market is good is if they are looking for HVAC/plumber/sewage jobs. Those may not have taken a hit but white collar jobs have.

What is wrong with being a plumber? I know a plumber that became a US Senator then cabinet member.

You know you can own those sorts of companies and never get your hands dirty.

I don't think it's Trump that is causing you problems.

The faux outcry over Epstein "files" is absolutely a Dem narrative being led by Dem operatives like Thomas Massie. It should be pretty clear by now but others struggle to understand who is playing them.

But sure, Trump is incompetent and has accomplished nothing. Again, you are welcome to feel that what, just know if is not connected with reality.

You obviously have your own reality which is fine. Mine consists of not recalling one Democrat running on the Epstein files should be released. So the idiots that ran on that created the narrative when they were elected and then started calling it a hoax.

Easy to call out Massie and not remember the other Republicans Trump personally called to the whitehouse to persuade them not to vote for the release. It would have only taken one of them.
Pretty crazy he then after failing to get of them only then called for the total release. Ok nothing at all looks ridiculous with that.

But go back to what Trump said and call everyone morons if they say the same things his administration said before being put into office! None of it will matter come November.
Also being ignored is the Todd Blanche meetings and secret deal-making with Ghislaine Maxwell & her attorney. Contrary to DOJ rules and policy, no DOJ line attorney was present to witness what Trump's former personal attorney said and what deals were made. No DOJ line attorneys were there to document those secret meetings.

It was blatant corruption and another obvious coverup of the sex trafficking scandal. And other than a few exceptions like Massie, Mace, Boebert, and MTG, the response from the rest of Congressional Rs, MAGA Rs, TPUSA and 99% of evangelical Rs and rightwing Catholics and rightwing Zionists was the thundering sound of duplicitous silence and cowardly acquiescence.

There it is. I knew we could get some leftwing hate for Christians and Jews on Easter. Give folks time, they will show you who they are.
It is simply valid criticism. Many of the same rightwing podcasters and talkshow hosts who for years trumpeted online their disgust and anger about the longtime bipartisan Epstein coverup of the sickening, corrupt 2007-2008 plea deal and the horrendous crimes involved -- most of them went silent after the Ghislaine deal was perpetrated last year and after Trump told them all to move on. A few people like Tucker, Dave Smith, MTG, and Massie refused to bend the knee. The rest did like Dan Bongino and Mark Levin: they made excuses for Trump, or they chose silence. Even the late Charlie Kirk publicly said last summer he wasn't going to talk about the Epstein scandal anymore, not long after Trump told his camp followers to "move on". That was very disappointing to see.

Is it sad to live everyday with nothing but contempt and hate for the man who stands tall for America? All because Beyonc and TayTay told you Kamala was the better choice?

"But it was a super serious campaign promise and now he is a pedo protector!"… the trope is old, its incorrect, and there are certainly more important things going on than Jeffrey Epstein, who Bob Mueller covered for along with Obama.

See that's where your reality is not my reality. Go ahead and assume that. When Trump supporters are trying to tell you something calling them Kamala supporters is about the same as Trump calling them morons! Trump is killing his base.

Because people think they are too good for it. As long as they aren't taking money from the government I am ok with them looking for the right job. If they are bleeding government benefits they need to realize they aren't special and take what they can get.

Three things I have learned about the victim mentality
1.) don't ever mention them taking a job that they believe is beneath them
2.) never mention having a side job because that's not fair to them
3.) never mention how eating at home can save tons of money. It's their god given right to be able to go out to eat all the time.

There's a thread where one can discuss the evil Zionists and their coverup of Trump being in the Epstein files.

Though you may want to check your notes on "podcaster" Dan Bongino, since he was working in the FBI at the time.

I think I am good with my assessment of where things are, and his base may be a bit timid on Iran currently and want him back focused on the economy, but there has been no massive shift no matter what you and Jessica Tarlov dream up about the incoming blue tsunami.

the only silver lining right now is that everyone hates democrats too, including democrats

The bull**** part of this is that the affordability thing is 110% the fault of Biden and the Democrats...

But, that's typical of the Democrats. They **** the economy up, leave, and then Republicans spend most of their terms picking up the pieces...

Well put. I road around with a real estate agent yesterday looking at some property. He's been in the game of life a LONG time. He's had like 5 different careers. Worked in family business making materials for utility companies, bought a beer distributorship, sold it, went back to family business, moved out west and bought a sporting goods company, rather than being an investor he had to take it over. Sold it and opened a new location for family business. Dabbled in real estate along the way and now a realtor selling houses to folks in a mountain resort town (I got randomly introduced, so don't MFBarnes me regarding me dealing with the realtor, I am most certainly not his usual client).

But we talked about starting and running businesses, having to get your hands dirty, teaching your kids about getting their hands dirty and so on.

This summer, my son and nephew are getting put out on jobs to work in our residential concrete business. Are they happy about it? No. But they need to do it and who knows they may hate it (likely) or they may love it (I see it happen more and more).

I'd be happy to help a young kid who is interested in a residential construction trade to get them some experience with the idea of hopefully putting them in business.

I deployed all three of your points along my career and its paid in spades. Now I never have to choose or deal with 1, 2 and 3 ever again.

You do know that all federal judges are appointed by the President? It might slow down approving judges but I doubt Trump would nominate radical liberal judges.

Yes, I am aware of that. I just don't want the risk of a Democrat winning the 2028 Presidential election and then nominating radical liberal judges from a Democratic majority in 2026.

JD Vance made a speech last week after DJ made a bunch of arrests in California concerning Medicaid/Medicare fraud.

Quote:

FIRST ON FOX: The anti-fraud task force led by Vice President JD Vance revealed a staggering increase in California hospice and healthcare providers that were suspended as a result of the task force's crackdown on fraud.

Fox News Digital is told a total of 221 providers in Los Angeles have been suspended so far due to suspected fraud, including a number of providers who were raided by federal authorities early Thursday morning.

The latest number of suspensions marks a more than 215% increase from the 70 providers initially suspended in Los Angeles last week as a result of the task force.

All sides have given up on curtailing spending. One Big Beautiful Bill is a monstrosity. Trump campaigned on not touching middle class entitlements (Medicare/SS/Veterans Benefits) that are the source of the deficits. But OBBB still better than Build Back Better. Has nothing to do with electing liberals. To fight the deficit someone (you?) needs to start a movement bigger than themselves and form a large coalition, just like Trump did, and Jackson before him, by tapping the angst of the Forgotten Man.

Difficult to do because austerity doesn't earn many votes.

bs argument.

Anything anyone does can be done by stupid guys from India. You yourself are not doing something that is so extraordinary that only you can do it.

The fact that you say that above tells me that you have no idea what is really happening and just dismissing what many people are saying just because you either want to keep fattening up your 401k or are clinging on to some 1950s viewpoint of capitalism in America.

Nothing wrong being a plumber - if that is what you want to do. But if you want to work in high tech or become a doctor, you will not want to end up being a plumber and showing your ass-crack to everyone.

Don't worry . . that report had plenty of doom and gloom for the Pubs.

https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/03/politics/cnn-poll-double-haters-democrats-midterms

Quote:

Just 28% of Americans hold a favorable view of the Democratic Party, with the Republican Party a few points higher at 32%, in large part because Republicans take a more positive view of their own party than do Democrats.

Compared to the midterms in President Donald Trump's first term, both the president and the Democrats have grown less popular. While Trump's 35% approval rating is 7 points lower than it was at this point in the 2018 midterm cycle, the Democratic Party's net favorability has shifted from about even then to net negative by nearly 30 points now. Ratings for the GOP were deeply underwater in both years.

Overall, registered voters say by a 6-point margin that they'd prefer the Democratic Party's candidate over the Republican candidate if the elections for Congress were held today.

The most motivated voters break 57% for the Democrats to 38% for the Republicans on the generic ballot; it was a similar 56% Democrats to 41% Republicans among that group in January.

Even your boy Ken Paxton noted that the system in the Texas House lends itself to including the minority party in organizational decisions. You need 100 votes out of 150 to pass a budget or constitutional amendment. How do you do that when our party (Rs) is pushing Democrats away when we only have an 88 Rs?

In the urban warfare TX GOP model, you destroy anyone who doesn't agree with Tim Dunn and HB1 Visa dude Abraham George to reduce the number of R reps while screaming louder nonsense.

A smarter way to take total and utter control of the Texas House would be to increase 88 R reps to 100 or more. But you can't do that because you're too busy calling Burrows a RINO.
