Love Trump most of the time.

However, when dealing with a human stain to the world like Iran's leadership, after engagement, the only timeline that should be referenced is "when we are DONE". The media pressuring when that is is only to provide Iran with a timeline they can hold out to. Never should have put a timeline on it.

Kill the entire Supreme line. All of them. Kill anyone that MAY try to keep that thread of human excrement ongoing. It is a poisonous stain to humanity. Assure the Strait is open to traffic, on a permanent level. Hammer their ass, repeatedly.

Any allies that don't help full tilt, cut them off the oil we procure. They are not our allies in reality. They can feel the pain of that from us, or the Islamists they let into their countries with their terrorists assses. Pick one. The former is their best option. Export the Islamists if they are that threatening. Nut up.

He said we're not importing oil. If true, what's causing the increase in prices at the pump? Is it because the oil companies are exporting at an increased price per barrel vs selling it to consumers in the states?

It is the way of the political world now. Everyone defends their position by pointing fingers at the other position saying 'at least we are not them.' It is the exact same thing Democrats do when challenegd about Biden. They will not try to defend Biden or his policies. Instead they just say 'Better than Trump.' This has always happened of course, but NOTHING like it happens now.

The last politician I can think of that stood on his own..... I don't even want to type it because if I do many of you will just do what I said in the first paragraph. But there is no more standing on your own principals. We are in a death spiral.

Oil is a global commodity. If the price goes up elsewhere, it goes up here. Maybe not exactly as much, but pretty close. It's not that the local manufacturers are conspiring to push price up; it's just the way free markets work.

Same thing happens on the way down. If global markets decline, you'll see it reflected in oil prices here also.

I am Confident somebody said 4-6 weeks but the Trump Foreign Policy team almost always has a wide range of responses

I am very confident at least one person said this kinetic action* will be over in a couple of weeks

I remember when this was not a war but a kinetic action

Everybody thinks the oil belongs to the United States of America and it increases the countries wealth. Nope. The oil belongs to a corporation who then sells to the highest bidder. ExxonMobil and Chevron are not giving you a hometown discount on Permian crude.

My guess is by 2028 the Republicans will be in a similar position that the Democrats were in 2024. They will be trying the best they can to distance themselves from a President that has completely lost the vast majority of voters. One difference is going to be that the Ds were able to at least shut Biden up. That is going to be much more difficult for Rs two years from now.

The Oil is in the ground ( for the most part) A country can't "take" the oil unless it holds the grounds

But maybe I am misunderstanding the nature of the O&G business

It's been 4-6 weeks since day 1 from Trump and the people in his cabinet that matter. Anyone on here is free to look it up. It was all over the media and has been consistent since then. You can consult WSJ as an example.

And never mind the practical memory holing that he's down to less than 30 days before he has to go to Congress to continue this.

The non-stop lying on this (I'm not saying you are, personally) is exhausting.

I voted for Trump twice. Holding him to the same standard I would hold any president to, doesn't make me a "commie democrat". This war is beyond dumb. It's been a **** show. Republicans are going to get buried in the mid terms. And it's not because the idiot libs actually DID anything. They literally just moved aside and let Trump **** everything up. Long term investment might be the dumbest talking point I've seen him ever make. Was the Iraq war a long term investment? Lol

People are very focused on this timeline thing. Are we really any closer to the resolution than we were March 1? I don't see any evidence that anything is close to being resolved and we've had 4 weeks of "it's almost over" already. Is it over if Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz?

Yes but the Sec of War did say it could be over in as little as two weeks which is different than 4-6 weeks

You are correct that for the most part the administration has been consistent on messaging but I am also correct that somebody did say it could be over in a couple of weeks

How similar can it be? Trump is a lame duck compared to Biden running for 2nd term. I think Republicans have good potential candidates for 2028. Personally I hope Rubio gets the nomination. Biden won the Dem primary in '24 and was their party's nominee and then got forced out and replaced with no election. Very different IMO.
