This is depressing on many levels but when they just laugh at how dumb they are? No shame.

Their vote counts just the same. This is a dream for the political class. Uneducated people are easier to control.

Quite a few. They also edit out all the people that wisely tell them to pound sand and don't participate.

He does these on college campuses. I know people that just blithely dismiss that fact don't want to face the truth but get real here.
How many minutes are in a quarter of an hour? How many weeks in a year? Name three other countries besides the United States? And they can't answer those?
I know a good number of kids in our about to be in college who are plenty smart and are focused on what they want to do after college.Rapier108 said:

Correct, these videos (man in the street, Jay walking etc.) are not an accurate sampling of any given population.

While you're probably right, even if 1 out of a hundred answer like the video suggest, we're still in a LOT of trouble.
And its a hell of a lot more than 1 out of a hundred.

How basic? In 2023, 13% of students who took a UC San Diego math assessment could not perform at first-grade level, and 25% of kids got the equation 7 + 2 = [ ] + 6 wrong.

There should not be any college students on any campus in America that can't answer those questions.

If those are the worst of the worst, how in the hell did they get into college, much less pass HS?

All you gotta do is spend some time with the general public to find out not many.
I know some young college kids who have no idea what Pear Harbor was or who fought in the Civil war.

Nobody fails HS any longer. The money is in passing everyone. And the students know this too.
One of my neighbors teaches 8th grade science in a "rural" district close to SA. This is not a minority district. She is expected to pass everyone. Period. She will be up for "administrative review" if she does not pass them.
Great person, but at this point has just given up.
Sorry, but this is just the way it is.
