Not sure about this particular guy since I haven't watched too many of his shows but the guy that does the same type of questioning in the UK does show people who can answer his questions. (Although sometimes the way he frames his questions is kind of messed up and could be much better.)

No it is not all staged. Those are not paid actors as you are saying.

They grew up on phones and TikTok. Their education was generally crappy, and many/most were crapped on by COVID closures.

Literally everyone they know was given undeserved awards and passed along, even if they were illiterate.

I think the number is <50% have been in a romantic relationship by age 21.

They have been taught that the problem is not them, but their elders.

A majority aspire to be social media influencers.

In short, most have not done anything worth being being prideful of.

Understand that there are many, MANY that are not like this, but I fear I am describing a majority. So, it is an easy way to generate clicks by doing the man on the street bit.

I know a good number of kids in our about to be in college who are plenty smart and are focused on what they want to do after college.

In hopeful that the people in the video represent less than 49% of the college youth.

I can tell who has not watched the video nor even a portion of it by the replies here.

If those are the worst of the worst, how in the hell did they get into college, much less pass HS?

While you're probably right, even if 1 out of a hundred answer like the video suggest, we're still in a LOT of trouble.

And its a hell of a lot more than 1 out of a hundred.

All you gotta do is spend some time with the general public to find out not many.
I know some young college kids who have no idea what Pear Harbor was or who fought in the Civil war.

I view those types of videos skeptically and sadly.

But there is ample evidence that the state of education is dismal.

Just a reminder of this recent story about how large numbers of college freshmen are struggling with very basic math.

They think they are educated and smart. But they are not. Why did everyone say the same answer that 25 minutes is a quarter of an hour because a coin, the quarter, is a one fourth of a dollar but cannot determine how many dimes are in a dollar. Insane.

Nobody fails HS any longer. The money is in passing everyone. And the students know this too.

One of my neighbors teaches 8th grade science in a "rural" district close to SA. This is not a minority district. She is expected to pass everyone. Period. She will be up for "administrative review" if she does not pass them.

Great person, but at this point has just given up.

Sorry, but this is just the way it is.

I work at a university. Over half the students are idiots; no common sense, just trained monkeys which learned in high school how to take a test. No critical thinking skills.

Previously, I was a public school teacher; same issue. I taught mine to critically think as much as I could, but I only had them for a semester.

The ability to retest multiple times and do extra work for credit to raise a grade has made it nearly impossible to weed out students. There's something very sobering about having one shot at a test.

Yes, you are seeing the worst case sample.

But, if these are even only the outliers, how are they able to pass college course curriculum along with their peers? How did they even get out of high school to even be eligible for college admissions anywhere?


It would be nice if they also published their success fail rate overall for each question.

Op is better than this clickbate nonsense. What if 99/100 gave perfect answers, but they isolated the 1/100 that are mouth breathers?

I don't need to see a YouTube video that has perhaps many many edits. I can look at my own step kids and their friends to form my opinions. Maybe kids are not 'dumb', (well, some are) but I think technology has rapidly changed the way their brains work. And it is alarming.

(Making generalizations now.)

Some think that they have all the knowledge of the world in their phones, therefore, no need to learn anything.

Phones have opened up their world enormously and they get a little snippet of info on this or that, but rarely do they really KNOW anything in depth. Just a little tiny bit of a lot of different things.

Phones have changed their ability to process and synthesize information. It does so much thinking for them.

Phones occupy so much time that it has limited their time or reduced their interest in other things. They are so riveted to YT, Insta, Snap, etc just watching pics and videos instead of going out and actually DOING things; hobbies, learning a craft, etc.

Again, I made generalizations. I am hopeful that many of you have kids that do not fall into many or any of the above observations. My step kids and most of their friends all fall into several of these. When your kids go off to college or the real world, can you really control what goes into their heads? (Of course choosing a certain type of school can limit the indoctrination...) Same goes with phones. When they are on their own, the algorithm is there lurking in the shadows.

But kimmel makes of of Mullin because he was a plumber. I'll take a plumber any day over most of the college dolts out there who think they're "educated."

This is exactly how the left wants them. The easiest way to create useful idiots is to put them through 13 years of schooling without teaching them anything, passing them regardless of effort and intelligence, and teaching them the virtues of leftism.
I bet you they could tell you all about feelings, transgenderism, racism, sexism, America is evil, Trump is Hitler, etc.
