I see a half dozen or more Waymo's daily on the north side of Austin. Have t seen one glitch yet. I've seen 2 or 3 stacked up at the same intersection before. They must have a hub or center near where I work.

They are every where in Austin, especially on the road they are testing the Tesla taxis.....about 300 Tesla's in a parking lot where they are working on that project. Its robot car free market competition for real right now.

Not always. I was driving down a 2 lane neighborhood road and a waymo was coming the opposite way. Cars lined both sides of the road next to their houses. The waymo took off coming at my car without even assessing whether there was enough room for both cars (there wasn't). A normal person would have waited for me to go down the road first...I was closer to the section that was pinched. The waymo acted as if I wasnt there.

Elon's Teslas are way (mo) better at this stuffl.

Exactly my view. You've really got to see these things in action to see how often they do really stupid things that even a "student driver" would have no trouble figuring out.

I wouldn't imagine that bad drivers could work for ride-share for very long.

Ridden in a bunch of Waymo's, much prefer them to people driven cars. My only complaint is that they drive to slow and slow down to school zone speed even when school is well out.

I've ridden in them plenty. No issues.

No issues with Uber either other than smelly cars.

Either way, Waymo is still safer than Uber in general

Mamdani would've outlawed the motor vehicle to keep the horse and buggy union happy.

I flew into Miami last Wednesday and was surprised by the Waymo version of a wheelchair. Self-guided wheelchairs taking people to gates, and empty wheelchairs heading out to gates, or back to pick up new passengers. It is a logical extension of self-driving technology, but it really surprised me.
