Biden trashed the economy with his braindead policies. The Inflation Reduction Act was just a green new deal give away to his Marxist supporters.

He then damn near bankrupted the auto industry with his EV mandates.

Remember his "people don't have to pay rent anymore" bull***** He would have made that permanent if given the chance.

Here is a reminder of that idiocy:

Quote:

"Shortly after taking office in January 2021, President Biden directed the CDC to extend the moratorium through March 31, 2021. The CDC later extended it further through June 30, then to July 31, 2021.

In June 2021, the Biden administration extended it one more month to July 31, while stating they did not plan further extensions absent major changes in the pandemic.

When the nationwide moratorium expired on July 31, 2021 (by then over a year into the pandemic and well after vaccines were widely available), the administration issued a new, targeted CDC moratorium on August 3, 2021.

This applied to counties with "substantial or high" COVID transmission levels, covering roughly 80-90% of U.S. counties and renters. It was set to run through October 3, 2021, and again blocked evictions for nonpayment of rent (with a required hardship declaration from tenants)."

The SCOTUS kicked him in his groin on that nonsense!

This thread is more proof that libs don't understand math, economics, and human nature (I stole that from somebody btw)

Trump sucks. The Democratic Party sucks. Both suck and both can be true. Neither give a damn about you and your money.

Yet they accomplish what they want. The every day working people at each others throats and still arguing for one over the other.

I remember that moratorium crap. We were working in Port Mansfield that summer doing some testing and the FAA was supposed to have some folks come to the tests. They had to back out because the percentage of cases was above the amount allowed for them to go to...

I did the math on it, and there were approximately 8 cases of covid in Willacy Co...

Democrats act like children and create ****ty situation leading to problems.

Conservatives attempt to fix problems (which involve hard decisions) and democrats throw tantrums and create more problems then say it's conservatives fault

Biden hasn't been POTUS since January 20, 2025.

The GOP has had total control of both sides of Congress and the entire Executive Branch for 15 months. Six of 9 SCOTUS justices are GOP appointees.

In the past 15 months, Trump and the GOP Congress have implemented a large number of big policies that have had enormous domestic economic impact.

It is time for Rs to look in the mirror, be grown-ups, and hold themselves self-accountable for what they have done, both the good (closing the border) and the stupid, incorrect, corrupt, or bad (a long list, tbph).

Instead, they constantly whine, mewl, cry, refuse accountability, and blame Joe Biden. Get past that juvenile mentality. You are in charge. You wanted this. You got it. Now stand up and accept responsibility.

I just want to point out that inflation under Biden was largely due to:
#1 massive increase in spending on the back side of COVID partially supported by stimulus during COVID (which I largely still think was worth it) by both the Trump administration and the Biden administration.
#2 Russia's invasion of Ukraine causing a massive supply shock across fuels and agriculture.

Despite this, inflation in America was generally lower than comparable economies globally.

Donald Trumps rise in inflation is driven by HIS policies:
#1 tariffs
#2 the war with Iran where Iran STILL controls the Strait.

So with that context, Trump's inflation is worse because it was due to policy failures. Biden's inflation, while bad was driven by external circumstances.

this is the honest assessment, though in all fairness the ARP biden signed was a bigger contributor to inflation than the CARES act or the december 2020 omnibus bill.

that said, the "but biden" posts are mostly just unserious cope from people who were duped into thinking trump would make things better. biden's not president anymore. trump got elected first and foremost on the issue of affordability and has done everything in his ability to make things worse, not better, and chastises anyone who calls this out.

That is 1984 propaganda. Good lord. It's incredible what Democrats will say and do to cover for their side. I'm not going to cover for Trump because he hasn't helped much here as he and the Republican Party have made it their policy that they are not going to cut spending; they are going to just spend differently.

But Biden's ARP (increased inflation) and his Inflation Reduction Act (neutral at best) are literal policies that made inflation worse or didn't help as labeled and are obviously not "external circumstances." You at least called out ARP for what it did while Gordo is just straight lying.

Cares I, and II were signed by Trump and created free cash and handed it out to everyone. Biden followed suit by keeping the printing press fired up. Both Trump and Biden grew the money supply by a combined 40% in a 2 year period. Inflation was inevitable, and would have absolutely occurred if Trump had won in 2020. Alternative analysis of assigning blame on team red or team blue instead of the obvious analysis that creating dollars out of thin air and giving them away will cause inflation is just tu quoque.

Huh?

There's maybe a couple in either branch of the Legislature, and none in the WH.

"Republican" rarely means "conservative".

Yes, Democrats SUCK, as do all liberals...even "Republican" ones.

ETA: Trump started us on the high inflation train, Biden stoked the coal fires, and now ****'s expensive as hell. Gas adding to the normal man's daily costs isn't what anyone needs and ... if not fixed ... will cost seats, at state and national levels.

In fairness the Democrats created the immigration and woke mess, and Trump, however clumsily and indifferent to the US Constitution, has tackled it. Any claims of superiority on fiscal matters is ignoring the math.

Trump supporters clearly forgetting the checks helicopter dropped directly into checking accounts during covid. Trump literally made the Fed money printer go BBBRRRR as if there would be no inflationary impact. Trump asked the Fed to do exactly what we accused Bernake of doing during the GFC.

True. He's an old school liberal, like JFK was. His immigration stance is solid. As is his stance on science versus the woke idiocy.

I don't think we are as I've personally already said.

My post above was calling out the usual lie by the left on here (see Gordo's post) where they refuse to acknowledge their sides culpability. Old Macdonald, to his credit, called it out as well.

He said he could, back when he was running the first time.
