The speed of this fall is amazing. I don't think it can be explained solely by his purported inconvenience in the California gubernatorial race.

Whatever he did, it was the political equivalent of killing John Wick's dog and he had to have done it to another Democrat.

They've known about Swalwell for years. It was swept under the rug. He was a threat to their race for the governorship in Cali so they took him out.

Every Dem leader went to bat for Clinton after the blue dress was discovered. He wasn't "cut loose".

Bob Menendez received significant protection and support from Democrats for years, particularly after his first corruption indictment. He's in jail now!

There is a detailed Yahoo article out that goes into the history and background of this with interviews of the gals who brought this all down. It's been brewing for 5 years with the accusers steadily chipping away for that long. Pretty interesting article.

Agreed. In the Yahoo article, even Dem operatives are quoted in the article as saying everyone had heard about his fun and just wanted to look the other way. Once they couldn't fight the sheer level and number of accusations they pulled the plug. And they can because they have two other candidates still in play. This helps them consolidate votes.

It's the largest and most influential blue state in the country. At the end of the day, they just need someone with D next to their name to win.

NO ONE is alleging the democrats do ANYTHING for the right reason. However, don't tilt too far to the other end: simply because there may be a machine behind all this doesn't mean it (and a lot more) isn't true.

I think thats what Swallowell and many others want you to think. If you didn't already know Swallowell was a complete POS you either weren't paying attention or were profiting from his antics.
