I will clarify that I knew it wasn't him obviously, but he kinda looks like it in the black-and-white.

If I had been on that jury, I'm not sure I could have contained myself to not go over and punch that ****er in the face. I feel so bad for them having to listen to what happened to her.

It seems to me that family members of the victim would support him being released...without police protection...for thirty days

No, my bad, Annie, I should have added commentary. That was more like a "i cant unsee it now" face rather than a "you're crazy for thinking that".

I think in general, it's ridiculous how long death row people can live on death row. I mean, decades. As long as the case is airtight and there is no question whatsoever. They should all be dead within three years, hopefully sooner. At the most. Allowing for one appeal in some cases.

They should get a couple of months for an appeal and then be put down, no housing costs, no food costs, no medical costs. I regret that none of the death penalty methods are very slow and very painful.

These guys find a way to make a life inside prison. The "oh, living inside as a child killer is worse" is a bunch of bunk. This autistic freak would probably enjoy his isolation and routine. These guys don't want to die. If they did, you wouldn't see appeal after appeal.

Death Penalty has lost "the deterrent factor". Too clean and easy.

Public Hangings in the town square. No bag on the head, either. Let them hang for all to see, putting a sign on their chest of what crimes they committed. Televise it. Drop the wrapped and weighted bodies from a helicopter in the ocean.

We should start with this one.

I sentence him to 30 days in the electric chair and life in prison to serve concurrently.

Put him in a room, hands and feet tied, with the parents armed with a hammer.

If it's a plea bargain, you can't. If it's an open plea, as this appears to be, you can appeal pre-trial matters that were ruled on by the court, i.e. motions to suppress.

The judge hearing this case is an Aggie and was my law school roommate. He has heard some bad stuff in his time on the bench but he told me today that this was the worst. No video since the perp was aware enough to cover the camera, but he forgot about the audio.

It is impossible for people who do not work in the criminal justice system to know what people can do to other people, especially to kids.

We need more public involvement in the death penalty.

Bring back stoning.
