Remember when we'd chuckle at protestors holding up signs that said "Queers for Palestine" and note that if you were in Palestine and held up that sign they'd throw you off a roof, and they probably would.
Yet the most prominent muslim political leaders in the US (all dems) seem to be in complete lockstep with the most socially liberally agendas. Trans mania, abortion, and radical feminism. You know, the kind of positions that if you publicly supported would get you thrown off a roof in most of the Islamic world. Mamdani, Omar, Tlaib, etc, they are all down with aborting babies, gender affirming care for kids, and the purple haired pissed off crowd.
Note I said "changing" and not "moderating" because they are not moderating when you consider they are as brazen now as ever in their hate for Jews, Christians, western culture, and capitalism, while openly supporting terrorist regimes and loving them some communism.
What are we seeing here? On one hand, muslim political leaders here seem more radicalized than ever in supporting pro-commie, anti-western, agendas. At the same time, they are supporting positions that are fiercely rejected by Islam globally (abortion, LGBT, radical feminism). Is it a smokescreen, the "enemy of my enemy is my friend"? Or something else?
Genuinely interested in other's opinions.
