Baylor University is being accused of attempting to "sabotage" tonight's Turning Point USA event by denying ticket holders from the greater Waco community after initially approving non-student ticket holders, the organization says.

Nice move, Christian university.

Baylor isn't much of a Christian university these days.

Waco hall holds a bit over 2k, turning point says they have 4500 non students reserve tickets plus lots of students. I am having a hard time believing turning point on this one. That organization is a mess, recently they cancelled an event due to "security concerns" when it was painfully obvious that the real reason was lack of attendance.

They're Christian in name only like SMU or TCU.

You think it's a mess because the media want you to think it's a mess.

Haven't been for a long time. The institution (and fans) cheered and protected the rapists Art Briles brought on campus and covered up the situations for as long as possible. Their treatment of their own female students, and horribly abusive/murderous track record of 'student athletes' across a panoply of sports, should tell parents all they need to know.

And no, this isn't an 'A&M question.'

Baylor is the Westboro Baptist of universities.

Turning point was not issuing any credentials to the media to attend the event and
then the media tried to buy GA tickets and that might have been what caused an issue
Also TP was concerned that some of the non student tickets were going to protest

I mean I think when you actively try to cover up murder, sexual assault, and physical assault you have moved well beyond a "Christian" university. And they have been doing that for over 20 years.

Not too much. I remember sitting at a Baylor game near students drinking heavily back around 1980.

Baylor is not the college your grandfather attended. Same is true for Notre Dame.

Baylor hosted a LGBTQXYZ event on campus at the same time to counter the TPUSA event.

Which make me wonder about their priorities - are they a conservtive, Christian university (as they were founded) or are they a progressive, gay institution (as they have become)?

I'm still upset that A&M moving to the SEC collapsed the economy of Texas like Baylor said it would.

They're definitely not a conservative Christian school anymore. I was talking to a Truett Seminary (Baylor) student yesterday and he was bemoaning many things about the seminary.

Bemoaning that they are becoming liberal even in their seminary teachings?

Imagine getting upset over what consenting adults do in their private life.

If you hold events to celebrate your sexuality, then it ceases to be "private".

If only they kept in their private life and didn't try to shove it down my throat and my children's throats.

Bet you thought you had a real zinger there, didn't you?

Hosting events on an ostensibly Christian campus is not something done in private.

Have you been paying attention? Seriously? Schools decked out in LGBTQLMNOZ, drag queen story hour, mandatory training at work, crosswalks painted in rainbow colors...I could go on and on and on.

Are you being purposefully obtuse or are just that clueless to think it's totally voluntary?

How many drag queen book readings have you attended? If it's more than zero, how many of those were attended against your will?

No drag queen book readings for me but have been forced to annually attend training as a condition of my employment, just as one example. It's obvious you're just being purposely contrarian and it's not any use discussing it with you further. Have fun at the pride parade.

No one is upset about what people do in their private lives.

People are right to be upset when these people attempt to force their private lives into the public sphere and into the lives of those who want no part of that crap.

They allowed the hosting of an Alphabet Mafia group for the first time.
If they were a Christian school/org before, they are no longer Christian.

They allowed their political beliefs to override their Christian beliefs. They caved to the world.
They can still repent, but I doubt they will
