I am sure a lot of people at Baylor in power/faculty are only trying to follow their spiritual leader Eva Brunne.

Quote:

Eva Brunne, the world's first openly lesbian bishop and former Bishop of Stockholm (20092019), proposed in 2015 that the Seamen's Church in Stockholm Harbor remove Christian symbols like crosses and mark the direction of Mecca to accommodate Muslim sailors and refugees. She defended the idea by comparing it to multi-faith prayer rooms in airports and hospitals, stating that welcoming people of other faiths does not make one "stingy" or less Christian.

They were/are Hillary supporters. The media became less interested in them when they realized they're liberals, too.

Baylor hosted a LGBTQXYZ event on campus at the same time to counter the TPUSA event.

Which make me wonder about their priorities - are they a conservtive, Christian university (as they were founded) or are they a progressive, gay institution (as they have become)?

Imagine getting upset over what consenting adults do in their private life.

No one is upset about what people do in their private lives.

People are right to be upset when these people attempt to force their private lives into the public sphere and into the lives of those who want no part of that crap.

Now you know how i feel about fundies

They used to provide an easy win every year for our football team.

Well, except in 2004.

It's a laughable 'counter' to TPSUA.

One group is trying to promote a conservative, pro-American, family oriented lifestyle,

The other is a bunch of people who think there are infinite genders and that men can be women.

Ironically it's the fundies who have the most pervasive problems of covering up sexual abuse in the church and proffering their daughters to predators. Read up on all the survivors of the quiverfull movement.

Baylor and Notre Dame are still Christian universities. They haven't changed. And they won't.

The understanding of what constitutes Christianity among posters here, however, has changed quite a lot.

You really do live in an alternate reality, don't you?

The only Handmaid's Tale thing going on is when cos-playing women parading around in those costumes. And what does that have to do with the alphabet lunacy?

This is as opposed to the very real alphabet mafia running around out there, with actual laws being considered and passed where one has to deny reality and accept the nightmarish fantasy that those people live in (pronouns, etc). Or simply turning on a TV or going to a movie, only to see that lifestyle inserted into literally any subject matter.

Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining here.

The fact that Baylor University completely sabotaged TPUSA by hosting an LBGTQ event indicates how they have gone from a conservative and Christian to a progressive and LGBTQ university. The TPUSA is trying to promote a conservative, Christian, and family-oriented lifestyle, but the Human Rights Campaign is trying to normalize infinite genders.

Ironically, the people who just want to be left alone are not the degenerates.
