Argentina should send a bunch of commandos onto the island on a midnight raid to set up a bunch of UK flags and painting St. George crosses on everything.

And then attack at dawn when the UK has the entire base deployed to remove it all.

20-30% on paper versus under 4% in the UK last year. hmm, i wonder which i'd choose?

milei has done some good things, but the economy is still not in good shape and for the majority of people daily life is a real struggle. argentines are used to that challenge but it's delusional to think falklands residents would actively choose this over what the UK provides them.

if argentina wants to take it by force (with what army lol) then they can go for it, sure

It's not up to those inhabitants, it's up to the leaders and people of Argentina. And they should take it if they want it.

If the British "occupiers" want a vote, they should have maintained their navy.

there is nothing new in that tweet, really. argentine presidents have always claimed Malvinas as theirs and used it to rally support in the country. i don't know of any argentine who doesn't side with this view, so milei and villaruel's "stronger than ever" claims are just grandstanding.

i think i saw the US came out and stated neutrality on the topic, so nothing more we add to it. has to be resolved between the two countries

Brits have about less than zero strategic reasons to retain possession of these islands. Them holding on is nothing more than typical Brit arrogance.

The Falklands represent their last "victory" in battle and they clutch it tighter than the sticky wicket in their knickers.
