Just days before an apparent assassination attempt on President Donald Trump's life, one of the Democratic Party's leaders called for "maximum warfare" against Republicans.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., made the inflammatory remark while warning Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., against redrawing the state's congressional map ahead of November's midterm elections.

Jeffries said that if DeSantis attempted to counter Democratic gains in Virginia following the state's aggressive gerrymander, Democrats would continue to ratchet up pressure on Republicans nationwide.

"We are in an era of maximum warfare. Everywhere, all the time," Jeffries said Wednesday at a news conference.

Three days later, a California man allegedly attempted to assassinate the president Saturday evening at the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.

Democrats always whine and complain about "Trump's rhetoric," which while crass and often self defeating, does not rise to the level of calls for violence.

We have Jeffries, Bonnie Watson, and countless other Democrat members of Congress making calls for violence. Waston said the other day we need to "eliminate the President." Then they pretend to take the moral high ground and demand Republicans "tone down the rhetoric."

Republicans need to aggressively call out Democrat violent rhetoric. I don't understand why they stay relatively quiet.

Hakeem likely spends his time off camera lounging in a Lululemon sweat suit with a mango smoothie. Mamdani has literally never had dirt under a fingernail. AOC couldn't tell you which end the bullets come out of. Omar has an IQ of 68. Piker has never known anything but a life of posh luxury.

Not a Che among them. Not even close.

I don't think they have the slightest clue what "maximum warfare" means. Spoiled brats all of them.

DeSantis on reading this.

Crazy how it's ok for them to redraw the districts but warn against Florida doing it. Another Democrat double standard.

It's because it's (D)ifferent when Democrats say things like this. They never seem to want to look in the mirror and do what they demand of others.

All of this is true. But they're not saying they want to do this "maximum violence" themselves. They are calling for their idiot sycophants to do that "maximum violence".

As it stands today Democrats are the party of murder and assassination.

It's what they promote. It's what they support.

And you better believe it crossed my mind Saturday night.

Social media is 100% the driver of the ridiculous rhetoric and political divide in this country. It's given our enemies a front row seat to sow discord and our dumbed down populace laps it up.

Something has to be done to stem the flow or bloodshed is inevitable.

The left is the home of violent provocation. It is pervasive in their ideological literature, their academic discourse, their language and their symbology and propaganda narratives. I think that many of the plebes want to believe it is just rhetorical and symbolic of mere determined political effort, but that is NOT what the leftist intellectual class theorizes. They literally do believe violence is justified and necessary and even virtuous if it advances their political goals.

The rhetoric is not going to cool off. Hatred of Trump specifically and Republicans in general is being used to drive turnout, and Dems have decided this will be a turnout election. In the purple and blue states hatred will be the primary driver and in red states look for a "moderate" in the hopes of fooling enough people enough of the time.

Can you imagine running on open borders, abolishing ICE, expanded benefits for those here illegally, no ID for voting, men in women's sports, etc?

Neither can they.

Nothing can be "done" that doesn't play right into their authoritarian dreams. More government will not solve this problem. Short of Divine intervention, the only way this gets solved is to let the course flow to its natural end. This will be a horrible lesson for many people, but the hard lesson will be learned.

"Maximum warfare" means killing the filibuster, making DC and PR states, etc.

It's why the R's need to go ahead and kill the filibuster now and put stuff in place to mitigate future Democrat destruction.

Politicians these days of every stripe are freaking nuts. We need more farmers, office managers, teachers, blue collar workers and the like running for office. With donations ONLY to Party in general and not to specific candidates to eliminate the buying and influencing of candidates. A pipe dream of course.

Edit: Add… term limits.

We've crossed the Rubicon. The left is being run by godless Marxist ideologues and psychopaths with true believers and deluded sheep following along.

In the video below Nick Shirley discusses the death threat he received for uncovering fraud (includes the clip of Hasan Piker yelling, "Kill those mother****ers! Murder those mother****ers in the streets! Let the streets soak in their red capitalist blood!")

And here is Victor Davis Hanson

In his video he discusses the unprecedented third assassination attempt on a President (Cole Thomas Allen, Ryan Routh in Palm Beach, and of course in Butler Pennsylvania) and the incessant slew of violent and murderous rhetoric from the likes of the above mentioned Hasan Piker, and celebrities, movie stars, media personalities and political figures who repeatedly talk about killing or assaulting Trump, calling him Hitler and a fascist, thus legitimizing murder and inciting people to kill.

Because it does no good. When 50% of the population agrees with them, calling out Democrats for their hatred will be like yelling at a wall..
