Jeffries doubled down.
Quote:

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., doubled down on his inflammatory rhetoric toward Republicans during a fiery news conference Monday, telling critics, "I don't give a damn."

"I stand by it," Jeffries told reporters, when asked about his vow last week to unleash "maximum warfare" on the GOP to counter the party's redistricting efforts ahead of November's midterm elections. "You can continue to criticize me for it. I don't give a damn about your criticism."

Jeffries' messaging sparked backlash from Republicans following the third apparent assassination attempt on President Donald Trump's life at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner Saturday.

The top Democrat defended his choice of words by pointing to a report from The New York Times last year in which an anonymous White House staffer used the same phrase to threaten Democrats.

<snip>

Jeffries also had harsh words for White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who he labeled a "disgrace" and a "stone-cold liar" after she criticized Democrats' rhetoric that frequently labels Trump as an existential threat.

"This so-called White House press secretary wants to lecture America and lecture us about civility. Get lost," Jeffries said. "Clean up your own house before you have anything to say to us about the language that we use."

Politicians these days of every stripe are freaking nuts. We need more farmers, office managers, teachers, blue collar workers and the like running for office. With donations ONLY to Party in general and not to specific candidates to eliminate the buying and influencing of candidates. A pipe dream of course.

Edit: Add… term limits.

Umm, you do realize that the latest assassination attempt was carried out by a teacher?????

Someone made the comments a couples days ago that Democrats of today are Bolshevik's of yesterday. The more I think about this the more I think it's correct.

The left is getting more and more dangerous.

Yes. The left is getting more and more dangerous without question. There are many reasons for this.

1. Mass third world immigration since the 1970's (post Hart-Cellar) that has introduced tens of millions to this country who could not care less about our culture or history.

2. Tens of millions more of illegals from the same third world dumps who care even less.

3. 3rd and 4th wave hyper feminism that has driven females away from the natural order - coupling, marriage, children, grandchildren. True for men as well but lib females in particular have replaced marriage/family with misery. Misery leads to where they are now.

4. The rejection of God and/or spirituality in general. Their highest order is their political/cultural ideology. By contrast, I genuinely fear my afterlife.

As far as the dems being the new era Bolsheviks, sure, that is what they aspire to be. But always keep in mind that the Bolsheviks were a consortium of very rough, very dedicated, men. They are not. Likewise, the commies of the 50's thru the 70's were also very tough, very dedicated, men, willing to die. Che died in the jungle being pursued by the CIA. Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Castro, even Chavez, were tough, ruthless, and fearless, at levels the modern left in America can't even begin to understand given their cushy, western, lives, staring at a capitalistic I-phone.

I don't downplay any of the threat at all. But Hasan Piker sleeps in silk sheets. They could never endure what the Bolsheviks and commies did. We need to remember that and NOT be intimidated. Ever.

So with the mass mailing of ballots, mail-in drop boxes, and activists being paid to harvest ballots, along with lack of voter machine integrity and vote counting supervision, is it possible that Democrats did not cheat in the 2020 election? Was there anything to stop them? If they support, hope for, and encourage murder, do you think they have the ethics to conduct a fair election? Is there anything they won't do, believing the ends justify it?

Is there anything to stop them from doing it all over again and again until their power is absolute? Would the Save America act even slow them down?

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., made the inflammatory remark while warning Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., against redrawing the state's congressional map ahead of November's midterm elections.

Jeffries said that if DeSantis attempted to counter Democratic gains in Virginia following the state's aggressive gerrymander, Democrats would continue to ratchet up pressure on Republicans nationwide.

DeSantis on reading this.

Crazy how it's ok for them to redraw the districts but warn against Florida doing it. Another Democrat double standard.

Double standard are their only standards.

If some loon decides to take Hakeem out, do we get to blame Hakeem's rhetoric for it? It's how all the left respond to attempted assassinations on Trump.

We are a 3rd world country now in regards to political violence, all coming from one side.

It's (D)ifferent because the (R)esponse is different. When Republicans aren't happy they just send a bunch of memes back and forth. When dems aren't happy they declare war.

House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries declaring "Maximum Warfare" on Republicans is the latest example of the modern Democrats' violent rhetoric. They believe violence is justified and necessary to bring Marxism into this nation. This is why the Democrat party is the biggest domestic enemy.

Used to be more than a couple of entrepreneurs in Congress but I cannot imagine the frustration. Having folks who have actually been responsible for employees, a going concern and a p&l who also paid taxes would make a difference I would think, much like Trump has at the highest level.

But If you put me in government I'd flame out like a DOGE chainsaw with no oil.

It's not just the people running or elected, the machine is absolutely broken in regards to being run efficiently, being accountable, or being improved.
