Did anyone actually read Stacy Koon's (one of the officers) book? He said in there that when he found out there was a video of the incident, he thought, "good; this will make a good training video."

I don't know how many have seen the FULL video of the incident, including the parts of King lunging at the officers repeatedly. And anyone can have their own opinion about whether the LAPD policy at the time, which the officers LARGELY followed, was proper. But this was one of the first times in American history where the dishonesty of the media in not playing the entire tape and not allowing all the facts to come out lead to the deaths of over 60 people.

In 2020, the BLM protests were staged and ready to go at a moment's notice. They just needed an incident to get started. They knew there would be something that occurred during the summer. If not, they'd come up with something a few weeks before the conventions. How else could multiple cities organize "rallies" in such a short time -- especially during a pandemic?

The left created a racist narrative that still permeates our country today.

How I remember the LA riots.

I was a senior in HS and my dad had a flight that day to LA for meetings. I don't think I was even up yet when he left. When I got that night he was sitting at the kitchen table with his drink reading the WSJ, standard evening protocols.

When I asked him why he wasn't in LA he said he landed at LAX and then watched about 20 minutes of CNN covering what was going on in the streets, then called his admin and her get him the next flight home. Never left the airport.

Nope.

May 1, 1992 was the day I picked up my new F250 from Fisher Vincent Ford in Belton. My boss gave me a ride to the dealer to pick it up. We listened to coverage of the riots on the radio. That was how I remember those riots. I didn't think things could get much weirder, yet today we have a guy with a Nazi tattoo running for Senate in Maine and. Jewish Commie from Vermont is endorsing him.

I think a Kevin Smith 'Clerks' style movie about the Rooftop Koreans would be excellent. Got your Koreans with their guns just hanging out talking about the little things in life while waiting and watching the mobs rolling by. Could be awesome.

I would watch this....if Kevin Smith didn't make it. His movies suck.

His Daredevil run was great.

Come at me.

Clerks and Chasing Amy were fantastic. And his college shows are hilarious. Everything else not so much.

I was an engineer at a factory in Compton where the local chamber of commerce called the plant manager to give us a head's up when the verdict was pending. I was living in Long Beach, carpooling with a gal who recently moved from El Paso (TWU grad) who thankfully was black. It was her day to drive and I sat low in the passenger seat of her Mazda pickup truck back to (relative) safety of the LBC.
