His golf course. What's the problem?

This is the reality that is so quickly overlooked. It's HIS golf course. He can do whatever he wants to with the property. Is it vain? Probably. Is it tacky? Yah, a bit. Does it hurt anyone? Well, just those affected by terminal TDS.

Meanwhile, he should put one on every tee box with their corresponding hole number, ha!

We have a very large picture of my wife in her wedding dress at home.

A 15ft statue on a 7ft pedestal, bronze that has been gold leaf covered for a cost north of $3,000,000 and dedicated by a Christian preacher.

There was major concern that after seeing how ugly the building is, being reminded of what a disaster Barry & Big Mike left us with, then heading up to look out over the cesspool of Chicago that people would be compelled to leap to their death if more windows and balconies included.

If you bless them, you can't sell them. Trump can do it because he's not out to enrich himself and won't sell it.

But a gold statue memorializing the moments after a president almost had his head blown off. THAT's "truly bizarre".

I think anyone who builds a statue of themselves has some strange things going on upstairs.

The only stranger thing is people who idolize someone enough to build a statue of a person.

Obviously, I'm not a big statue or monument guy. Don't care who it is. It's strange.

So are you championing the removal of E King Gill and Sully cause they are strange to you?

Also, Trump did not commission this. Some crypto bros did and presented as a gimmick to promote their coin.

If people wanted to discuss controversy, I think it's fair to criticize whether it's a sketch look do be part of promoting this stuff, but Trump promotes its what he does.

Interesting question, but since I typed nothing about removal of statues or of E King Gill and/or Sully, not really relevant to my point.

There are plenty of things in life that I think are weird.....statues are just one of the many. But no, I don't advocate for destruction of things just because I don't understand them.

But if you must know. My life would not be impacted one way or the other if we had either no E King Gill and/or Sully, or whether we had 500 foot tall statues of both.

I'm lost. How we got from a statue of Trump to whether I've visited various cemeteries.....But I'll roll with it.

I have no idea what a stone, metal, composite, etc. representation of a person is supposed to mean to me. So I don't make it a point to seek out statues or to propose building of them. But different people value different things, and there are things that I probably enjoy that other people find strange, so I probably should have worded it differently.

Here's the rest of the answer: Yes, Yes, No, No.

But I feel like we've gone down a different path of whether we think visiting grave sites is strange now and I'm just gonna keep digging haha.

I think I follow what you are saying. They all seem a bit weird to you as they do not appeal or strike you in a certain manner, but you are fine with them being around. I think that's fair.

I read that you did not want them around but you simply just do not have much interest in them and thing the concept is strange. That a fair assessment?

Love how USA Today as termed it "Don Colossus". More evidence that when the left tries to troll they inadvertently provide a nice nickname.

Didn't Trump install a statue at Trump National several years ago that got folks riled up?

Also, there have been statues before including a year-old reference to Don Colossus.

And there are is a statue of Trump in Slovenia and China. No word on if they honor or dishonor him.

Yep, definitely a fair assessment. Your summary is more aligned with my thinking than my own original post was, which I can appreciate.

People have such strong opinions pro-statue or anti-statue, I was just more along the lines of 'indifferent to statues' I guess.

But please don't ask me about my thoughts on pickle ball, cruises, golf, aikido or speed walking!!! I will be extremely unpopular (or more so) on this forum haha.

Most pols are YUGE narcissists

Absolutely. Look at history. Narcissism has been a common psychological trait in many kings, rulers, dictators, and elected politicians. Many billionaires, too.

In some of them the condition is extreme in its manifestations. Trump fits that description to a "T".

Belgium's King Leopold, England's Henry VIII, France's Louis the XIV.

Do you know anything about true narcissist? Trump is NOT one, clearly evidenced by his personal and familial relationships and decades of anecdotal of him taking time to show true empathy.

The people you mention show what many term narcissistic tendencies and many are true narcissists, but you are simply wrong on Trump.

Biden? True narcissist. Zero concern in life for anyone but Joe. And definitely Big Mike's husband.

How many billionaires have you gotten to know? Again, many with narcissistic tendencies.

This right here. I've read numerous stories about Trump helping people with cars, homes, life or death surgeries, etc.. He doesn't publicize it or talk about it. You hear it only from others who were recipients or witnesses. But, yeah, he's bad….like Hitler!

The Overlooked Kindnesses of Donald Trump
One of 4 examples
  • In 1986, Annabel Hill faced a personal and financial crisis. Her husband had taken his own life, driven to despair by the looming foreclosure of their Georgia farm. Her story, a poignant reflection of rural hardship, reached Trump. He intervened. Trump provided financial aid and leveraged his influence to halt the foreclosure, ultimately saving Hill's farm. This story has been widely verified and remains one of the clearest examples of his benevolence.
The Lesser-Known Good Deeds of Donald Trump: A Legacy of Quiet Generosity
One of 7 examples
  • Trump's generosity also extended to those in critical need of medical help. In 1988, when a young boy named Andrew Ten required urgent medical care in New York, Trump offered his private jet to fly the boy and his family from Los Angeles. This intervention undoubtedly saved the boy's life.
Donald Trump's Generosity: A Lifetime of Giving Back
One of 7 examples of
  • In 2017, U.S. Marine **John Arroyo** and his fiance reached out to Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate for assistance in planning their wedding. Arroyo, a survivor of the 2014 Fort Hood shooting, had gone through a long recovery process. When Trump learned about Arroyo's situation, he generously offered to host the couple's wedding at Mar-a-Lago, providing them with the venue and a dream wedding free of charge.
These are just a few links, there are more a lot more.

President Trump may have narcissistic tendencies, but his actions in aiding those in need can not be denied.

Not sure who or what that is, but I can assure you I do not speak a lick of spanish. Bringing up the craziness of the left is relevant to this thread because they support some of the most insane things you could ever conjure up. A weird statue of Trump, or Obama, or George Bush, or whoever, pales in comparison.

A liberal ranting about a metallic presidential statue is just funny to me. Given what their party supports and advocates for. That's all. Do you disagree? Removing the breasts of confused pre-teen girls or wanting people fired and their lives ruined for making their own medical decisions is not more crazy or bizarre than a small presidential statue to you? If not, I'll pray for you, brother.

That guy was the career felon who broke into a pregnant woman's home with his buddies and robbed her at gunpoint (gun to her belly) right? And naturally a hero and icon on the left. Destroying large swaths of cities, looting businesses, and killing innocent people in honor of this man is not bizarre...but a presidential statue is.

Is that correct, or is that one of the many other complete degenerates they support?
