No joke that guy just an absolute idiot. Of course they'll probably just replace him with another idiot. But seriously get rid of the London Mayor too. he's a racist cancer.

Some recent study came out and placed the UK's GDP below all 50 US states. So UK produces less economic activity than the likes of Mississippi or New Mexico. Funny enough a few YouTube videos had the interviewer casually asking Britons where they thought they would rank and more than a few thought the UK would be around the 5-7 most powerful out of the 51.
Brits still cling to their sense of empire and grandeur despite long have given away what gave them their 200 years of greatness (nameless a powerful military and numerous colonies to exploit raw materials and favorable taxation/mercantile policies).
Sadly I don't think Americans understand they are on the same path unless things change in a hurry.
Not ready to hit the panic button quite yet. American work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, celebrating others' successes and strong private sector are not going away anytime soon. We just are not wired the same way Brits are.
We are seeing that in NYC. Mamdani goes further left, billionaires leave and go south.

This. I have a client based on the UK and the consistent them is how decentralized everything is here. 44 different sales tax laws. 50 different answers to individual and business income taxes. They're all playing by the same set of rules so unless you don't want to be British then there's nowhere to go. In the U.S. you can flee liberal economic policies and still be American. That's how we were designed and clearly it still works or people wouldn't be fleeing NYC and California at the rates we're seeing.

The measure is in terms of GDP per capita, not total GDP, but nonetheless, it's pretty rough to be looking up at Mississippi.

This is looking like one of my better bets of the year. I only grabbed this yesterday at the 34%.

Starmer is threatening to call a snap election if he's challenged which could cost Labour a whole lot more. His ego will be his demise regardless.

Political correctness is a BIG problem in the Western world, especially for Caucasians/White people.
Most people are deathly afraid of being called out as racists and getting tarred and feathered online. And canceled. So they'd rather save their skins by playing safe and saying they "are for (legal) immigration", and "we want good people from other countries" and "we are a nation of immigrants".
I am yet to meet someone in a position of power who has the guts to say "we have enough immigrants, we don't need more". Or "if the people coming in are that good, they should be able to turn their own countries into superpowers, I don't see that". And "we may be a nation of immigrants, but that does not mean immigrants can just walk in and have a right to anything".
Trump is the closest to this in the US.
There is no one in the UK who has to the guts to call out Muslim gangs and to save their careers, they continue to say nice things and defend these degenerates.
