If it's good enough for our military men and women, it's good enough for those that want handouts.

i wonder what an MRE costs to produce?

According to google genuine US military MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) cost roughly $10$15 per meal for consumers on the secondary market, or about $90$130 per case of 12. While officially costing the US government around $5$7 to produce.
There is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real truth: causality. Action. Reaction. Cause and effect.

Made a pasta dish last night that is incredibly easy to make and cheap. Ingredient list: chicken (we got our's cooked from Sams but raw works just as well); chicken stock (use bullion or Better than Bullion); milk; the pasta of your choice; one onion and one poblano pepper (bell would work); parm cheese. Total cost for everything -- probably about 8 bucks but you can go cheaper. Feeds at least 4 with some leftovers. And it was actually pretty good. You can easily use a different, cheaper, cheese if you want or ignore the peppers/put in canned green ones.

Oh, sorry, I forgot: 2 Tbls of flour and about the same Olive Oil, a little butter and some sea salt. So never mind on the cheap. That added at least 30 cents. Used about a quart and a half of water.

The audacity of people like this is what's so obscene about it all. What she's really saying is that she didn't work enough and never thought to plan for old age. She was expecting someone else's labor to pay for her. 62 isn't even close to "elderly" and I don't buy for a second she and the vast majority of others can't work. In today's age, you can be morbidly obese in a wheelchair and still find a job. We're supposed to believe that somehow, at age 62, they have no skills whatsoever and couldn't even sit in front of a computer, operate a cash register, or at least answer phone calls.

IMO, snap is easily the most obvious program that should be immediately abolished. But since that won't happen, the requirements are far to low as it is. 80 hours a month? You can just volunteer? The fact that they're upset with those requirements shows that they don't want, or rather don't expect, to have any inconvenience. They don't expect to contribute or earn their way in the slightest. Just gimme.

And the postage will "save" the USPS.
When the truth comes out, do not ask me how I knew.
Ask yourself why you did not.

The MSM will just jump on any perceived aggrievement to further their cause and make it appear there's constant chaos due to Trump.

This is all about the gravy train ending. But the kicker is if biden or a dem enacted this, there'd be nary a story about it other than some spotlight on some individuals who turned their life around because of this policy.

What's so bad about the whole situation, is when you see on the news, they will be having some charity or food pantry or such giving out free food. Cars, mostly Escalades and the like will be lined up for miles with people that all could obviously use some semaglutide shots with perfect nails and fancy hairdos all just waiting for the free stuff. "oh this will help so much!" Maybe sell that fancy vehicle, get something you can afford.

I am sorry for all of those administrators at big soda. How will they feed their family and still make boat payments?

If you're retired, you should have the financial means to support yourself until you pass.

If you can't do that you shouldn't be retired.

She retired at 62 to get her early SS check. They allow you to work and earn money - up to a certain point- and not sacrifice the SS check.

That's because she retired early. If she had waited until she was 67 she could retire with her full SS payment and then work as much as she wanted without any penalties. She sounds like she has a case of the laziness.

Soon to expire MREs need to be mailed to homes. Will reduce fraud and expand the production base in the case of major conflict.

A lot of those are actually pretty dang good.

No accounting for taste, especially mine. I was fine with most of the old C-rations. As long as I had a vehicle or C4 to heat it up.

Aight, the use of c4 to heat rations is a new one. I don't doubt you at all, but id also like to know how thst works? The extent of my knowledge with c4 or any plastic high-ex is pretty limitex.

They just take a lighter and set it on fire. C4 requires shock in order to explode.

It's risky because the fumes are toxic, and need to not be contained lest you accidentally build up pressure and cause an explosion. And it burns out fast. But you can cook with it if you lack any more sensible fuels.

I saw this during Covid in SA. Local news did a report of the drive thru food pantrys that were set up and they interviewed people waiting in the long lines. One couple that appeared to in their 60s driving a newer Tahoe complained saying they were there because they thought it would be convenient and they complained about the long wait time.

This is how you do it as opposed to asking the government for a handout. From the glory days of "The Onion" before they stopped being funny.

Ample Language so NSFW.

Explosive IED class I took at the academy few months back. Were all playing with C4 like it was playdoh. Slapping it on the desk, lighting it on fire. Fumes make for a great high. Bunch of LEOs high on fumes playing with explosives. What could possibly go wrong.
