The Dem primary battles will probably be a clownshow of idiots. Which tbph might be a good thing. I want our country to remain a 50-state Union. If the Dems choose a viable candidate and if that candidate then goes on to win the Presidency, I think secession movements in 15 red states will become more than just talk by the rightwing fringe. I'd rather have Rubio in the WH for 8 years than see our nation split up.

Vance is not beatable by any Democrat...none. His debating skills are second to none and he speaks very eloquently to middle class and working class people in the Midwest, places liberalism just flat out doesn't translate any more. he absolutely destroyed Tim Walz, a sitting governor of a large Midwestern state. The only Dem that could even keep it close would be Newsom, but he's got the White male problem with his own party. Newsom scares me because of suburban white women seeing him like they did Bubba in 1992 and Obama in 2008, but his California resume is just disastrous and the MSM just doesn't have the sway to overwhelmingly carry him past Vance. And I will gladly say that Rubio is an incredible candidate, too, but I just see him sticking to his word of running with Vance, not against him in 2028.

I disagree. I've seen no indications of the DNC moving back towards the sanity and political savvyness of the "old guard" aka the old mainstream establishment Democratic Party leaders: Bill Clinton, HRC, Kerry, Biden, Pelosi, James Carville, Steny Hoyer, Clyburn, Schumer, Durbin...they're all 80+ except HRC who is 78 & Schumer who is 75. The generation of Dem Party leaders who are replacing that previous one are not nearly as astute at politics.
