I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state.Â

We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service.
To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.

You can trash Cornyn, but he wasnt a crook up there enriching himself. Paxton will absolutely do that..

So many Concerned Moderates coming out of the woodworks. If you all voted for Cornyn he'd still be around next year!
I voted for him twice in three months! Did my best to keep out the freaks like French and Middleton too. I'm afraid these primaries are going to be a race to the bottom until somebody finally loses a general. That's really the only way to discipline the primary voters.
What are you going to say when Paxton wins by 15 - 20 pts in November?
I guess I will acknowledge that the Primary voters have not, in fact, been disciplined, and that I hope we are all represented well.

i honestly think all of these republicans getting ousted started to listen to the MSM that trumps polling is bad. if anything all of these results are showing how off this polling numbers are once again.

After this reception at the GOP convention 3 years ago, his days were numbered

The conservative angst against cornyn has been present for awhile. Local talk radio always spoke against him all the way back to probably 2010ish . Michael berry called him John "Wayne" Cornyn making fun of his ads I think in the 2008 or 2014 campaign. Memory is a bit fuzzy. This idea that it's only just cuz of MAGA or trump or conservatives are bending their ideals isn't accurate.

That last comment perfectly encapsulates the problem with the Republican establishment. What an arrogant statement to think the primary voters need to be disciplined. Maybe the Party needs to be more focused and attentive to what the voters expect and demand.
Looks to me like the state Republican Party is the one that just got disciplined.
I want to comment on John Cornyn losing his primary because I go to DC parties where I meet establishment guys and I know how they think.

Senate Republicans think they are the reason Republicans won in 2024. They think they’re the GOP’s secret sauce.
You think the GOP rode…

Regardless of whether you like Cornyn or not, we need less career politicians. After Paxton serves 2 terms we should replace him. We should replace Cruz.

For what it’s worth, Cornyn did nothing to help @FDRLST when we faced horrific censorship from the federal government. Ken Paxton helped us fight our legal battle to get the State Dept to stop sponsoring censorship of our journalism. For those who care about principles…

why can't we get a fantastic candidate in their late 40s -
who is a MAGA patriotic conservative who supports the military, Israel, hamburgers, Apple Pie and hot women?!!
there are literally THIRTY THREE MILLION TEXANS!!!
and we are left with a guy who looks 80 and a guy facing serious ethics charges who often times looks like a slob.
The incompetence of the state GOP to recruit great candidates is stupefying and criminal.
@#$@#$ Los Angeles has a better Republican candidate than Texas!!

If Cornyn was a RINO, then I don't really know what a Republican is supposed to be. If he was too far left, then I think this is maybe where I get off the train.
