The got damn e bike kids are driving me insane. They'll pop up in little groups driving around like little Jack holes. I can't tell you how many disregard traffic laws.

In 2020, a certain demographic was convinced by the media and entertainment industry that the laws of a civilized society no longer apply to them.

Unfortunately, I don't see that trend reversing unless we increase policing, turn off body cameras, and let them carry a jammer to disable all cell phone cameras within a certain range.

Make police feared again…

It's called the FREE STATE OF FLORIDA

I don't know, but my suburban community of Cypress TX is starting to be overrun by feral Brayden's and Jayden's on e-dirt bikes. I kind of like that they are forming little gangs and engaging in mischief, like we did, but they need to take it off road, it's becoming a real problem. Someone going to die soon.

Happening here in W Travis County too. One one hand it is the kind of stuff we did in the country but these kids are doing in school zones and around traffic lights and getting hit by cars. The parents of these kids didn't think twice before letting 10-13 year olds take their lives into their hands.

Some of these kids will grow up a bit and become hellions like in the OP article.

Im an old

My house has lots of kids from 8-18 on ebikes and scooters. For some reason it doesn't bother me much. I don't see it as being much different than me and my friends on bikes at similar ages.

A few cases have bothered me but it has always been an older teen maybe college age hanging out somewhere looking out of place more than the actual riding.

This is what I have a problem with. It was cool when I saw them doing healthy adventurous kid stuff on them off road...I was envious, we couldn't have imagined having access to these fancy e-toys growing up. But we have plenty of wide open spaces to ride out here around the lakes etc...but now they just roam in packs on the busy roads and I have seen a few close calls. Yesterday I saw two Jayden's at a busy intersection stoplight holding fishing rods and tackle with one hand and steering with the other. It's not a matter of if, but when, they are putting up a memorial along one of the roads in my neighborhood for one of these kids.

Fow what it is worth I spent a good portion of my childhood biking around with a fishing rod and tackle box. We just stayed out of traffic as much as possible

Yep, to be clear, it is the one-handed biking around on super fast/high acceleration electric dirt bikes on busy roads (this was during afternoon rush hour) that I have a problem with. I don't want to hit one of these kids, or see one of them die or suffer severe injury.

I don't think most people realize how fast these go. Or how rapidly they accelerate.

The speed/rapid acceleration is the issue. While riding an ebike, a kid hit a substitute teacher a few weeks ago and killed him. I'm sure more of this will happen until daddy government steps in.

Almost saw a couple of old ladies get absolutely shellacked on a busy storefront sidewalk in Newport Beach last summer. The kid screeched and swerved and almost hit another group and flipped his e-scooter over. Him and his friends just acted like it never happened. I saw them coming in at a ridiculous speed, given the crowds. One of the bouncers screamed at them and scared the tar out of em.

Only when you start hauling these kids off and impounding their bikes and making their parents pick them up from the pokey and pay a stiff fine will this ever be corrected.

Their parents have no clue how reckless and stupid they are being. Not even the most deadbeat parent would be fine with some of the stuff I have seen.

JFC, just seeing the word e-bike makes me want to throat punch whoever is riding them. Granted, it's usually suburban white AF liberals, but still, they have throats, so...

Maybe we can start by calling them felons instead of "teens"?

Teens

Etc.

All euphemisms for you know what.

This is becoming quite a problem. It happened last weekend at both the country club AND the yacht club. Horrifying.

Was this before or after the boat christening?

Teen takeover events are often planned or spread rapidly on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or Discord. A single post can draw hundreds of teens to one location within hours, far faster than in the past. Some teens are motivated by attention or "clout" filming chaotic moments for views. Fights, vandalism, or panic can emerge simply because there's no organizer. Also, decreased parental supervision and the systemic impact of absentee fathers have contributed heavily to this delinquent behavior. In addition, Democrats have been passed progressive criminal justice policies, including eliminating or reducing cash bail. Consequently, lawlessness, chaos, and anarchy have increased. A lack of consequences or enforcement encourages repeat behavior. peer pressure increases, and emotions spread quickly in big groups. It's time to deploy tear gas, rubber bullets, and water cannon on these thugs.

Far cheaper to run than the typical election year "mostly peaceful" protests where you have to pay these losers to show up for the rioting. Cutting off the USAID money has forced a change in disruptive tactics.

Crazy...part of what makes them so dangerous is the lack of noise. With a gas powered dirt bike or rmotorcycle, you at least hear that sumbich as it is next to you, or passing you. I see these kids going around cars on these 45mph streets and I cringe...it would be so easy to switch lanes without seeing or hearing them and seriously jacking them up or killing them.

I'm 45 and still feel young and adventurous, but nothing sends me into "get off my lawn" mode like seeing the way these kids act on these things.

There's one being advertised in Pearland on Saturday. My neighborhood's Facebook page is all in a tizzy about people avoiding the area and to not let their kids attend. I can't wait.

This is clearly in the realm of some tough policing.

For every teen take over , there should be a " swat takeover".
