Pretty ****ty lineup there...

They gonna reincarnate Milli (or Vanilli?)

Nobody wants to admit it but yes for the 250 it's a subpar line up!

I'll admit it... it sucks.

How about Cody Johnson, Aaron Lewis, Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Kodak Black, 50 Cent, Lil Pump, Ted Nugent, KISS or Five Finger Death Punch… they too busy?

Trump say F the subpar talent backing out and instead we will have a Trump rally. Perfect solution.

Also, Trump was spending a ton of his own money to fix the Kennedy Center. Due to a petty liberal judge, the building can continue to fall into disrepair.

America 250 concert lineup….? Trump is fixing it.

Trump Kennedy Center Rehabilitation…? Fugghedabboutit. Trump his taking millions of his own money and will spend it elsewhere.

Oh and for the haters who say he is always swindling. Well, people overlook he has taken entire areas of the public part of the White House and fixed, refurbished, greatly improved these spaces using his OWN money. The walkway leading to the West Wing was slate tile that was cracking and was a tripping hazard. He put in a granite replacement that will last "a million years".

Trump wins and wins. And love America and making even greater again.

I wouldn't call taking his ball and going home (post with the language he used after people said no to him) looking like winning, but at least he has a plan to make the event as much of a positive as possible, so at least that.

As for the Kennedy Center, I'd imagine if he really cared about the facility for what it is and has stood for for the past half-century plus, he'd still put his resources into it, even if his name was nowhere to be mentioned. But, then, that would be an altruistic act from Trump, and well, that doesn't seem to be in his wheelhouse.

Respect for any of his own money (no getting tax refunds/breaks for it though, or it doesn't count) that he used to help with what he's done for the public parts he improved.

When the other team does nothing but cheat, harass, threaten, undermine and intimidate Trump and his supporters for anything they do, the only win is to take your bal not home but to a brand new game.

And he is willing to continue to fund it regardless of the name. The judge said Trump cannot be the one to make the changes and fund it.

He is not getting a damn thing for the WH improvements other than he doesn't have to walk around in a crumbling decrepit house that no previous POTUS cared two ****s about maintaining in a proper condition.

I don't want to hear one word from democrats about embarrassing. The only thing missing was a child in the photo for it to be complete in the Democrat sphere of politics.

That's a guy with a boob job and the one next to him that's cropped out is a woman with a mastectomy.

Okay, so per Google for the Kennedy Center matter:

Quote:

Yes, Donald Trump can legally use his personal money or private donations to fund the repairs, as U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper's ruling did not place any financial restrictions on him or the center.

As for the entertainers, do we know if he tried to even get anyone on this side of 2000 that are maga friendly?

I get playing a new game. I'm just wondering if he ever tried to have things in the previous game that were more attuned to recent history as opposed to closer to half a century ago.

As for the White House itself, Trump needs to get the following on board while he's in office so that the building is tip-top shape long after he's gone:

Quote:

Key entities involved in White House upkeep include:
  • U.S. Congress: Responsible for appropriating the federal funds and budgets required for structural maintenance, repairs, and major renovations. [1, 2]
  • National Park Service (NPS): Owns and manages the White House grounds and the broader President's Park
  • General Services Administration (GSA): Assists in larger facility operations and major project management alongside federal agencies. [1, 2]
  • Committee for the Preservation of the White House: An advisory committee that ensures historical integrity is maintained during renovations.

He can use his own money on the Trump-Kennedy Center but he cannot do what is needed as the judge blocked that.

Regarding the White House, I assume you are being satirical by including congressional funding since they won't even get together on things like voter ID. And the ******ed historical commission has complained each step of the way, the ballroom just being the biggest example.

NPS work requires funding so see congressional issues. I can assure you Doug Borghun is fully on board with whatever Trump wants to do.

My bad. I forgot just how useless congress is. I should know better.

There has to be a way around what is needed. Probably through congress, but who knows. Still, hopefully it'll get done even without his name, because if it's in that much need it's time to get it done.

It's no longer getting done. Trump was funding it but that means doing it his way, which had nothing to do with the name on the building.

President Trump is literally keeping the WH from collapsing WITH HIS OWN MONEY due to how decrepit it has become after a series of democrat and lame duck republican presidencies who didn't give a damn about it. And he still gets victimized by democrat judges and their supporters. The dude could cure cancer and libs would still hate him.

A dem doing this makes sense (politics 101), and repairs getting done is fine, BUT that still doesn't address the other things Trump wanted to do. And even if he doesn't want to pay for them since it won't be how he wants, that doesn't mean people who are responsible for upgrading the building shouldn't be getting off their asses to do it.

Agreed, but evidently in Dem world government funds can only be used to line the pockets of their chosen beneficiaries and not for the good of the American people.

Which is irony at its best because they accuse Trump of wasting money though folks can actually see, touch, use, and enjoy. Things that actually make America better, beautiful, bold.

Don't lol it looks good as a temporary fixture. Leaving it there permanently would look bad in front of the White House.

I get that that is the stereotype/reputation, but actually lots of people have come out of the woodwork many years after the fact, talking about Trump's generosity behind closed doors and how much he has helped them personally, while asking for zero recognition or credit. Apparently his father would give $100's to the hard working helpers that worked behind the scenes and also to those he simply felt could use it. That was a lot of money for just about anyone back then. Even liberals meet the guy in private and when the cameras are off and they are shocked by how likeable and interested in them he is.

So many things to bash Trump on, but I honestly don't think anyone of us should be throwing shade over how much or how little he has donated or helped others. Pretty sure it's at least in the tens, possibly hundreds, of millions.

Lastly, how do donations not count if you are getting some tax relief afterwards though? Do you realize how many significant donations this coulw nullify? Who DOESN'T take advantage of the tax deduction for donating large sums of money? You are still in a net loss position...it's not like donating $1MM helps you just because you can lower your taxable income by a certain amt. You would have been much better off financially not donating that money at all. That's almost like the inverse of wishing you made less money so that you would pay less $$$ in taxes each year.

UFC fight on WH lawn reminds Al Sharpton of slave masters making their slaves fight for entertainment.

Al Sharpton compares White House UFC fight night to 'fights for the slave masters'

Quote:

Rev. Al Sharpton accused President Donald Trump and Republicans of trying to return the country to a more racist era during a Thursday appearance on MS NOW's "Morning Joe," tying the dispute over redistricting to Trump's planned UFC event on the White House lawn and his admiration for Andrew Jackson.

"Trump and others are trying to bring us back to an America that we struggled to get out of," Sharpton said.

Sharpton argued that Trump's embrace of a White House UFC event was connected to the same politics behind the redistricting fight.

"So there is a connection of why they're having these fights on the White House lawn," Sharpton said. "UFC and all that, because they're trying to go back to that when, you know, they watched people have these fights for the slave masters, and they'd be entertained by that."

Finally, the cope in this article about Trump and the White House is just delicious. God dem socialist america hatin morons are just pathetic. Same for TDS-infused "true trump hatin concervatives"...

Trump's White House UFC fight is darker than just mindless violence

Quote:

Construction of the arena for President Donald Trump's White House Ultimate Fighting Championship fight, scheduled on his 80th birthday on June 14, is underway, and it's already a monstrosity. There's a giant pair of domed, star-spangled arches that appear to be sprouting out of the South Lawn.

-snip-

Trump has already desecrated Washington during his second term. He has coated the White House's interior in tacky gold trim, tore down the East Wing of the White House altogether, and is building a ballroom in its place. He has adorned federal buildings across the city with a giant image of his scowling visage. He has narcissistically inserted his name into the Kennedy Center.

But this particular display is among his worst insults to Washington's built environment. It sums up Trump's ethos in that it's a pandering act of showmanship and a glaring signal that he believes shows of violence belong in American politics.

-snip-

Staging a White House fight is a culminating expression of the growing right-wing subculture within MMA sports and fandom, which goes back more than a decade.

The UFC and Trump have a symbiotic relationship. As journalist Sam Eagan pointed out in a 2024 report in The New Republic documenting Trump's alliance with White, the UFC has been "betting that it can leverage right-wing politics to become a massive sports organization" while Trump "has embraced it as an extension of his own brash and violent brand and as a means of reaching young men." Cynthia Miller-Idriss, a sociologist at American University who specializes in political extremism, observed in a 2022 column for MS NOW that far-right groups have used mixed martial arts and boxing gyms to recruit and tap into a fascistic focus on aggressive physicality as a political act and preparation for a "race war."

Trump's event, then, is not a form of entertainment designed to transcend politics and unify the country around pure sport. It is a blatantly politicized production, coordinated with an openly partisan sports executive.

Trump's UFC match will further encourage the idea of a far-right paramilitary to support his authoritarian agenda. The president has already turned poorly-trained ICE officers into secret police, set free incarcerated Jan. 6 rioters, and is angling to potentially reward them financially for their support. Now he is encouraging his supporters to look at Washington and the White House as a site for state-sponsored combat.

The weigh-in for the match will be taking place at the Lincoln Memorial. Subsequently two men will beat each other bloody in front of a roaring crowd which will include members of the military convened by the president. Ultimately this event isn't commemorating the birth of the United States after prevailing in the Revolutionary War. Trump has a different, more fascistic revolution in mind.

So a quick glance seems to indicate the whole rationale behind supporting this White Trash…, sorry I meant White House event is, "… Biden did (something, something, something). Oh, Minions… never change. The entertainment is endless.

Although the lineup isn't the same as it was intended (and pretty pathetic admittedly), calling the original card "White Trash" that consists of the non-white, half a *** left from Milli Vanilli, Young MC, FloRida, The Commodores, and Morris Day & the Time makes you look extremely clueless.

Who is the real minion here when you don't have a ****ing clue what you are even commenting on?

I agree though. The entertainment would be endless if Trump was in a bunny suit while some dude with ***** tits was on the WH lawn and suddenly have to watch the same media spin it as the end of the world.

Get a grip, bud.

ETA: May have been the wrong thread. Even worse for the poster I quoted as it relates to the UFC which is an even more diverse card. Geezus.

By all means, let the American taxpayer fund what could have been free. Plus now, if it ever gets done, will be over budget, late, and poorer quality.

It's the Democrat way.
