Terrible candidate.

It puts the mainstream Dems and Independent voters in that district into an unfortunate voting choice.

The November election choice facing mainstream Dems and Independent voters in that district: Vote for this alleged traitor, or vote for a candidate from a 2026 Republican Party overwhelmingly populated with elected R officials who are spineless cowards, corrupt crooks, sycophants, and election-denying attempted-coup supporting traitors who are too cowardly to stand up to their party's pedo-protecting J6 traitor-in-chief Trump.

Best option for those voters: vote 3rd party or write in a name.

get out with that garbage...

700 citizens from NJ lost their lives on 9/11.

the Founders really should have made birth in America a minimum prerequisite to hold any office in the USA

they really screwed up on that one.

think of how many socialists/democrat party hacks we wouldn't have to listen to.

It would just delay this crap for 20 years. France is seeing it from the inside.

You are the problem with this country.

Equating someone who might somewhat align with Trump with a terrorist sympathizer. So instantly you wash out the truth of who this guy is and justify in your mind that somehow voting for either are equal. Which makes it a lot easier mentally to vote for the democrat who in no way aligns with the best interests of our country.

I keep thinking they can't sink any lower only to find out the hole is seemingly bottomless.

That is a tougher law to follow in 1790 than it is in 2026.

Yet they somehow managed to make it a requirement to be President

Actually, the requirement is to be a natural born citizen so you can be born abroad to parents that are US citizens and still be eligible to serve as POTUS.

I guess you got me.

The point is that the founders were able to make being a US citizen by birth a requirement for president, so they could have done the same thing for other elected positions as well. And should have.

In the Constitution. It will take an amendment to change congressional qualifications.

Wasn't trying to get you because I agree with you. Merely stated the above for accuracy.

It's true that the founding fathers could have required US citizenship to hold any federally elected office. I wish they would have. But that still wouldn't eliminate the anchor babies from eligibility. Even if birthright citizenship were better controlled (i.e., only those individuals born to a US citizen parent or parents), the electorate still has to be wary and vote for candidates that don't hate our country.

The guy in the OP also served as a combat surgeon for the US in Baghdad during the height of the Iraq War, so whatever else his priors are, he's certainly done more to support our troops than 90% of this thread. Doesn't make any of the accusations in the OP untrue, doesn't make him automatically a good person, doesn't make him a good candidate, but seems wrong to go 2 pages without mentioning that at all.
