48 of the 56 founding fathers who signed the declaration of independence were born in the US, but 8 were born in various parts of the UK and Ireland.

33 of the 39 delegates who signed our Constitution were born in the US, 6 were born outside the US (3 in Ireland, 1 in England, 1 in Scotland, and 1 in the West Indies).

And of course, we have leftist socialist natives all over California, NYC, and elsewhere in this country that wouldn't be precluded from being elected to Congress.

The solution is and always has been an informed electorate with actual skin in the game electing representatives that don't hate this country.

Don't hold back.

It would be a good idea to make the same requirements to be POTUS apply to be in Congress. Including term limits IMHO.

I would argue it should apply to Governor and mayor of any city with a population over 100K as well. Of course that would be up to the States themselves to decide.

But for a federal office, absolutely 100000% it needs to be applied for Congress, ASAP.

Actually, if you don't vote for making America great again you are part of it. Its a hard line for me.

We can debate how to make America great again but first you have to sign on to being pro-America and Kamala voters are explicitly excluded. And its hard for me to not also exclude concerned moderates and TDS inflicted as they seem to be unable to support America unless the decorum is just right and the tweets are polite and dignified.

Actually, the requirement is to be a natural born citizen so you can be born abroad to parents that are US citizens and still be eligible to serve as POTUS.

Answered this yesterday in another thread. The right can't do anything about this. It will take introspection and change by the Democrats. The right is outnumbered in the areas where Democrats concentrate. They own the big cities and a few other outlying left-wing hubs. The right owns everything else.

Just the way it is now. If you want the right to do something about it, then it will take hard core actions that no one is prepared to do yet. The left will likely force the issue at some point though considering how insane they've gotten.

Logically, yes, but the R's don't have any equivalently extreme positions that are mainstream party stances like the Democrats have. The R's either try to hold the line on positions that have always been normal, or they give into the Democrats.

When the R's start supporting extreme positions equivalent to open borders and mutilating kids, then I'll stop voting for them.
